It was an honour to be in New York for Climate Week as a featured start-up with the Biomimicry Institute. We loved sharing how we are mimicking insects’ amazing sense of smell to unlock a better, healthier and more sustainable food system. About us
Started in New Zealand, Scentian Bio develops biosensors that mimic the incredible smell receptors from insects to deliver a super-sensitive, real-time measurement of smell and taste. We are developing solutions for key use cases detecting and quantifying volatile organic compounds, e.g. food and flavors, logistics, pest control and human health. Our food and flavor solution is designed to provide assurance of what is in a product (and what’s not). We can check quality control, quality assurance and quickly check for taints, mal-odours or residues.
