Like many New Zealand employers, WSP has been reviewing their interpretation of the Holidays Act 2003 and we have identified some issues that have meant some of our people may have inadvertently received incorrect payments when they have taken leave. We have worked hard with PWC, KPMG and MBIE to complete a full review of our pay system and processes. We have been trying to get in touch with past employees about payments, but we don’t have current contact details for everyone. If you would like to find out if a payment is due to you please contact us at HolidayActReview@wsp.com https://bit.ly/3V3cSYM

In 1913, 90% of Māori school-aged children could speak Te Reo Māori. By 1953, that number dropped to only 26%. 22 years later, just 5% of Māori school-aged children could speak Te Reo Māori (Waitangi Tribunal Report, 1986 and 2011). It's up to all of us to help te reo Māori thrive. That's why we've created some resources for using te reo Māori in the workplace. Kia kaha ake - give it a go! #WeAreWSP

He tika, me whakanuia i te reo Māori me ōna tikanga. Ia tau, Ia tau, ka whakapakari a WSP i te reo, nō rēira, kōrerotia te reo Māori, kia kaha te reo Māori. Mauri ora! ‘Ake ake ake – A Forever Language’ is the powerful theme for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2024, reminding us of the strength and adaptability of Te Reo Māori. Hear from Reginald Proffit, our Director Pou Arataki (Māori), as he shares WSP’s commitment to supporting Te Reo Māori and how we all play a role in fostering a more inclusive Aotearoa by embracing Te Reo. #TWOTRM #TWOTRM24 #WeAreWSP #TeReo #TeReoMaori
