Z dumą prezentujemy nasz drugi już raport ESG za rok 2023, który podkreśla zaangażowanie naszej firmy w działania na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju. Kluczowym elementem naszego otoczenia biznesowego jest środowisko naturalne, na które firma ma wpływ. Dlatego podjęliśmy istotny krok w kierunku zrównoważonego rozwoju, inwestując w system fotowoltaiczny na terenie naszego centralnego magazynu logistycznego w Kokotowie o mocy około 200 kWp. Ta inwestycja pozwala nam redukować zużycie energii elektrycznej poprzez wykorzystanie energii słonecznej w miesiącach letnich. ♻☀ Dodatkowo wprowadziliśmy szereg innych działań mających na celu poprawę efektywności energetycznej i ograniczenie strat ciepła. Meeting these standards requires significant changes not only in legal regulations but also in organizational mentality. We are proud to present our second ESG report for 2023, highlighting our company's commitment to sustainable development. A key element of our business environment is the natural environment, which the company impacts. Therefore, we have taken a significant step towards sustainability by investing in a photovoltaic system at our central logistics warehouse in Kokotów with a capacity of approximately 200 kWp. This investment allows us to reduce electricity consumption by utilizing solar energy during the summer months. ♻ ☀ Additionally, we have implemented several other measures aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing heat loss. As a result of these actions, gas consumption decreased by 13% in 2023 compared to 2022. #Answear also leads other initiatives in line with environmental sustainability. There was no shortage of opinions, enthusiasm and technology prowess at the 2024 #globalfashionsummit hosted by the Global Fashion Agenda yesterday in Copenhagen. Yet, there was a sobering reality check. We need to do much more and now is the time. Yesterday included discussions on: financing solutions for climate change; the best use of data; next gen fiber, e.g. NATIVA™ by Chargers Luxury Materials (the world’s leader in luxury combed woo); regenerative farming; France’s pending regulations — to a panel looking at the 15 years of sustainability work hosted by Vanessa Friedman, fashion director at The New York Times. 👉 My favorite part? I love the fact that this gathering of global fashion leaders ended with an ‼️ with insights from outdoor CEO, Ryan Gellert of Patagonia and the showing of its recent short film, Shitthropocene, about the cycle of production and consumption, and how that impacts the Earth. Next stop? Outdoor by ISPO in Munich next week. 🌍 Accelerating Climate Action in Fashion! 👗 ‘What Fuels Fashion’, a new report from Fashion Revolution, has revealed a number of stark findings about the industry. From a lack of transparency in energy procurement to not disclosing decarbonisation efforts, this report shows how there is need for improvement across the sector. Maeve Galvin, Policy and Campaigns Director at Fashion Revolution, believes that investment from big fashion can “simultaneously curb the impacts of the climate crisis and reduce poverty and inequality within their supply chains.” The report found the brand with the highest score is PUMA Group.
