How Payment Orchestration Ecosystem Works in Real-Life Today, let's talk about something that is unpopular to say in the competitive payment orchestration market - how multiple vendors interact within a single chain. In reality, one PSP can indirectly receive services from many orchestrators at the same time. 1. Merchant utilizes Orchestrator A to handle its payment transactions. The platform’s role is to streamline the merchant's payment processing by managing the relationships and integrations with various PSPs. In this setup, the merchant receives payment services from PSP X, which operates on the Orchestrator B software. Cardstream is a critical component here, acting as the technical foundation for PSP X’s operations. Orchestrator A must integrate with Orchestrator B to facilitate smooth transaction processing. This integration ensures that payments processed by PSP X are effectively managed and routed by Orchestrator A. 2. PSP X’s integration with PSP Y through Akurateco. PSP X extends its payment services by purchasing them from PSP Y. PSP Y, in turn, relies on Akurateco’s platform to manage its operations. Since Orchestrator B is the technical provider for PSP X, there’s a need for seamless integration with Akurateco, which supports PSP Y’s backend systems. This integration is crucial for enabling PSP Y to deliver its services to PSP X without any disruptions. 3. Akurateco’s platform thus plays a key role in this chain, ensuring that the services provided by PSP Y are compatible with the infrastructure of PSP X, thereby maintaining continuity and efficiency in payment processing. Akurateco’s central role in enabling service delivery. At this stage, Akurateco is not just a passive component but an active enabler of the payment services that PSP Y provides to PSP X. The platform's robust capabilities allow for the customization and scaling of payment solutions, making it an indispensable part of this orchestration. The integration between Orchestrator B and Akurateco is vital as it ensures that PSP X can seamlessly receive services from PSP Y. Akurateco’s ability to handle complex integrations with various technical platforms highlights its flexibility and technical sophistication. 4. PSP Y’s integration with Orchestrator C. As the payment chain extends further, PSP Y procures additional payment services from PSP X, a leading payment technology company with its proprietary software. In this example, the merchant believes that they work with only one orchestrator through three payment providers. But in reality, integration extends to many additional levels. Even if there are certain orchestrators that cooperate with banks or other providers, the number of end-level merchants and platforms remains large.
