Yesterday, Athens hosted the latest edition of the Solarplaza Summit Greece, a platform that unites industry leaders, investors, and innovators in the solar sector🤝.   Our local team from Greenvolt Next was honored to participate, represented by our Country Manager, Ruben Carvalho. The Greenvolt Group concluded the first half of 2024 with revenues of €188.0 million, representing a 42% year-on-year increase. EBITDA reached €26.5 million, with the overall net profit attributable to Greenvolt of €-19.0 million.  These results reflect the Group's ongoing investment phase, with nearly 800 MW of assets currently under construction and distributed generation operations being launched across six countries, aligned with the expectations and planned trajectory. The Distributed Generation segment continues to experience steady operational growth, particularly in installations (52% growth to 42.5 MWp), backlog (88% growth to 311.4 MWp), and with more than 400 projects already under construction. This week, on the 22nd of September, we will celebrate World Energy Storage Day. Why not take a closer look at what it actually means and how it works? Battery storage is a system that saves the sun’s energy produced by photovoltaic panels and stores the excess energy for your company to use when it's needed. During the day, the solar panels transform solar irradiation into electricity that your company can use at the same moment, or if your consumption is lower than the production, the batteries will save the excess energy. The panels do not produce electricity at night, so your company can use the energy stored in the batteries. With the right energy management and planning, your company can charge the batteries with energy from the grid when the price of electricity is lower, to be consumed when the price is higher, enhancing your company's electricity bill savings. Yesterday, Owen Power, CEO at Enerpower powered by Greenvolt spoke at the Association of Energy Engineers conference in Waterford, Ireland.     The focus of the discussion was on the critical role of Distributed Generation in the energy transition of companies and the country, innovative ways to finance renewable energy projects — such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) — and a groundbreaking energy optimization project with the Amazon Data Center.     This participation highlights our commitment in sharing our expertise and knowledge on these crucial topics, contributing to accelerate the energy transition in the industry, driving change towards a more sustainable future.     Greenvolt Next keeps Energy Next to You.
