We are recognized for outstanding temporary staffing and IT outsourcing. Recently we created a division that helps SMEs have affordable, yet state-of-the-art payroll and HR administration services. Our last project, www.vonstaff.com, provides SMEs with an easy time tracking feature and employees management functions that can be customised for user needs, together with our payroll outsourcing services.

Many find themselves staring at the same tasks, feeling the weight of monotony settling in. 😣 🥁 First, try shaking things up from within. Taking on new projects, learning new skills, or even rearranging your workspace can offer a fresh perspective and a boost of energy. Sometimes, these small changes can reignite the spark. If that doesn’t do the trick, it’s worth having an honest conversation with a manager. Many managers are supportive and can help map out new challenges and set goals that bring back the passion for the work. Often, the answer isn’t leaving, but evolving within the current role. For our recruitment team, these weren't just words—they were guiding principles. The first was our golden rule: every project comes with its own unique challenges. Different markets bring different hurdles, and the path is rarely straightforward. But no matter how tough the journey, the end goal is clear—the client WILL HIRE someone for that role. Whether it's through us or another avenue, it will get done. The second cartoon served as a gentle reminder that every step in the process, no matter how small, is meaningful. The final outcome may not always be what we hoped for, but each small victory along the way is worth celebrating. This mindset doesn't just apply to recruitment—it’s relevant in every field.     #Projects, projects, projects! 🏅 For a while, entering the IT market has been relatively easier for juniors. However, the 2023 tax modifications affecting the IT sector in Romania and the rise of AI have made IT companies reconsider their hiring practices. Many now prefer candidates who can hit the ground running, opting to hire juniors through internships where they can test their learning style, motivation, and capabilities rather than hiring them directly as full-time employees. This shift has made it increasingly difficult for individuals looking to switch careers by taking programming classes on online platforms or attending private academies. Our advice to all juniors today is to focus on building projects. Post them on #github. Exercise your skills, create your own applications, and network actively to get feedback or mentoring. It can be a chat application, a round-robin scheduler, or anything that can exercise your skills and prove to a potential employer that you know how to translate a specification to code, understand algorithms, and can work in an organised manner to deliver results.  By the end of this process, you'll have the choice between securing a job and launching your own ideas and apps.     #DoesnotMeetExpectations Sometimes it just happens in your team. While you think you might never come across someone who will not perform or be completely demotivated, while working in your team...it will happen. Each situation is different: it can happen from being unable to focus on the job due to personal problems, it can simply be a matter of wrong job fit, be it organisational or job content, or it can happen because some people just need more interaction and follow through. Some introverted employees may struggle to adapt to an office environment after working from home and find it difficult to concentrate with people around them. Without claiming that there is a universal approach for it, we can share what worked for us: 1. Try to understand first their background, what they are confronted with, how they work, processes etc.  2. A major point in understanding where the lack of performance comes from is understanding the person's values, what drives them, what motivates them generally in doing the job and what not. Sometimes there are only parts of the job that can demotivate someone. You might have the possibility to reassign some of the tasks. Or come to terms with the fact that no-one does only what he/she likes and try to make it more manageable and likeable. Personal issues affecting the job performance can be addressed only if an employee is willing to share and try to find solutions with his/her employer. 3. You will never have a clear and complete picture unless you go at least once through the whole work process with someone (maybe not even then, but it's a big step forward).  You might have some hints but true understanding and points of growth for your colleague will only come if you go "hand in hand" for a while. That is, if you have the time. If not, feedback from colleagues and work partners would be essential. 4. Give constructive feedback. Be clear and specific of what you notice. It may be that the employee is in a role that does not align with their skills or aspirations. For example, a verification engineer aspiring to be a developer, a recruiter who needs more guidance despite working independently, or an employee accustomed to strict management who struggles with a more lenient approach. 5. Reinforce positives. Shift focus to the present and acknowledge strengths. Emphasize that the goal is growth, not criticism. Sometimes a person just needs to change the environment, while other times a complete overhaul of their approach may be necessary. 6. Once you know the problems you can start to prepare the cure. Create a clear and actionable path forward and focus on future outcomes. Ask forward-looking questions to inspire different results. 7. Reset expectations. Communicate clearly future expectations and encourage dialogue to support continuous improvement. For a specific period, organize more follow up meetings, until the objective is reached.  #vonconsulting #itrecruitment #performencemanagement
