Here are some helpful tips, shared by Marija Zivanovic, to help you adapt faster and more easily to new surroundings, especially if you are taking over the team leader position. 💡Changing jobs leads to numerous expectations, both yours and your new employer’s. It is quite normal for you to take some time to make the first steps at the new workplace. I can share from personal experience that- during this stage- it is crucial to benefit from your colleagues' and mentors’ support. The more you understand your new workplace and guidelines, the more efficient your integration and development will be. 🙏 Ask questions and look for specific instructions since it is essential to understand right from the start what your new employer expects from you. 📈 Don’t hesitate to ask for help even if you are experienced enough - clear and precise information will enable you to avoid misunderstandings at first and make the right decisions on your own later. 🧾 And no matter how confident you are regarding your knowledge and experience, take some time to learn the ropes well - since what will make you fast is not rushing things but practicing them. Harari addresses technology and its impact on the job market, highlighting how automation and artificial intelligence are reshaping the way we work and live." These are important questions for every organization as we face the need to reskill and adapt to new trends. 🌳Environmental challenges, such as climate change, also hold a significant place in the book. Harari stresses the urgency of this issue and the need for collective action. Emilija adds: "Environmental and social issues are interconnected, and as an organization, we must consider our impact on the world." 🌐 In an age of information, Harari warns against data overload and the spread of misinformation. "It's important to develop critical thinking and recognize the truth," Emilija points out. This is crucial for making informed decisions and building trust in our business. 💚 Finally, Harari touches on the themes of happiness and meaning, raising questions about what makes life worthwhile. The book reminds us to reassess our values and seek meaning in a world full of challenges. These lessons are essential for our work and our community. Our colleague Stefan Dimitrijevic shares something about how he finds inspiration at his workplace: 🌱 My main source of inspiration is the support I get from my team and co-workers.
