Celebrating an important milestone: the procurement process is concluded! It has been decided that Vectura Fastigheter will host Lund University’s Nanolab Science Village, a lab for manufacturing #nanomaterials and #semiconductor components. The lab will be a neighbour of the major research facilities European Spallation Source ERIC and MAX IV Laboratory, and together they will form a hub of scientific facilities that will create a competitive research environment with great opportunities. “We are pleased to see Lund University move one step closer to breaking ground for the new #nanotechnology laboratory. Here we can conduct cutting-edge research in #sustainability and create an international centre for materials science, linking research in #physics, #chemistry, and #biomedicine,” says Erik Renström, Vice-Chancellor of Lund University. Lund Nano Lab (LNL) is now the very proud owner of a brand new state-of-the-art Bruker D8 Discover X-ray Diffraction System (XRD). Some of its many features include a large area detector, a non-coplanar detector arm, an Eulerian cradle and advanced X-ray optics for a number of different types of samples and measurements. This advanced, versatile and user-friendly XRD-system will significantly enhance the capabilities at LNL and add great value to NanoLund researchers and LNL's start up community for many years to come.
