How do we at Mölnlycke work with recycling? Today, on Global Recycling Day, we renew our commitment to a circular economy by designing products intended to remain in circulation through processes like recycling. Here’s what that means: 1. We adopt "design-for-circularity" principles, considering all stages of the product life cycle from a sustainability perspective. This ensures our solutions eliminate waste and circulate materials, reducing dependence on finite resources. 2. Our target is zero manufacturing waste by 2030. We prioritise the recyclability of natural resources within the manufacturing process. Waste heat is reused through a closed-loop heat recovery system at our factory in Mikkeli, Finland. We have also implemented a closed-loop wastewater system at our factory in Oldham, UK. 3. We assess recycling single-use medical devices after use, exploring circular economy business models based on chemical recycling. Through cross-sector collaboration, we renew our daily commitment to transforming healthcare. #GlobalRecyclingDay #circularity

🔍 What are our OR teams spending most of their time on? A recent survey reveals that OR nurses in the UK, Germany, Sweden, and Poland are weighed down by tasks that add little to no value to actual patient recovery. There are many examples of non-value added tasks, in or around the OR, that could easily be eliminated, simply by implementing more efficient ways of working. It's time to streamline processes and provide our OR teams with better support.
