Two days left! The Outdoor Changemaker Award celebrates sustainable transformation within the outdoor community. Nominees are chosen by sustainability experts at Peak 63, Suston - Sustainable Outdoor News by NORR Agency and Gidås Sustainability Agency. The award highlights initiatives that prioritize collaboration rather than competition and is open to individuals, groups, companies, and organizations. In 2024, the award has expanded its scope to include both Sweden and Norway, broadening from its 2023 focus on Sweden. The next Changemaker will be announced on October 3rd at the Sustainable Outdoor Professionals' conference in Östersund, Sweden. Last week, the annual European Outdoor Summit celebrated its 10th anniversary, in Cambridge. Over the course of two packed days, the event featured seminars, workshops, and networking opportunities for leaders in the outdoor industry. In recent years, she has primarily devoted herself to building up Fjällfararnas Gröna & Vita Band, having undertaken this 1,300 kilometer-long adventure through the Swedish mountain range in winter. Sara will help support NORR Agency with her expertise in communication, marketing and outdoor. The first assignment will be to strengthen and spread the German brand deuter Sport GmbH’s presence in the Nordic markets. deuter is one of the world's leading manufacturers of backpacks for hiking, climbing, skiing and more. “Save Una!” 🌍 💚 Jonathan Eidse – NORR Agency’s representative in Oslo – takes care of Patagonia’s media relations in Scandinavia. Right now, that work involves raising awareness of the wild and beautiful Croatian river Una, which in spite of its protected status is in imminent risk of being dammed. For many years, Patagonia has campaigned to preserve the few remaining wild rivers in the Balkans, as well as the unique nature that surrounds them. Right now, the only thing holding back the dam’s construction crews are the activists standing in the way. Today’s pan-European initiative from Patagonia is to send a selfie with the sign “Save Una” to get the attention of Croatia's prime minister Andrej Plenkovic, asking him to listen to the people and protect this invaluable part of Europe’s natural heritage.
