A significant article concerning the essence of my PhD research has been published in the Journal of Facade Design and Engineering (JDFE)! This achievement was made possible through collaboration with Focchi Group and TECNALIA Research & Innovation, for which I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with them. Besides other BASAJAUN project partners such as RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and Paramountric, which contributed enormously to the development. The paper introduces a digital framework that has the potential to revolutionize how companies utilize data for Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Digital Product Passports (DPPs). The core of this research is the proposition of a Semantic Data-driven Framework designed to streamline the creation of low-carbon and circular Custom Modules for Curtain Walls, leveraging computer-aided technologies already in use by manufacturing companies to facilitate an efficient sustainability assessment process based on primary data. Our findings are poised to advance the implementation of LCA and DPP practices for prefabricated façade and pinpoint directions for future enhancements. Accompanying the article is an annex containing concise data sheets that summarize key information for a DPP of façade. Projektet Basajaun visar upp sina resultat på WoodRise congress 2023 i Bordeaux! EU-projektet BASAJAUN har haft som mål att visa hur trävärdekedjor kan optimeras för att främja både landsbygdsutveckling och stadsförvandling samtidigt som de är kopplade till hållbart skogsbruk i Europa. Projektet har letts av Tecnalia Research & Innovation i Spanien och med InnovaWood network med ansvar för resuktatspridning och kommer avslutas under våren 2024. Projektet har bestått av flera delar där man t.ex tagit fram nya byggnadstyper och produkter, inkl en demobyggnad men där man också skapat en första digital tvilling av hela värdekedjan - Forest to Building Digital Framework - F2DBF som är en digital platform som gör det möjligt att säkerställa spårbarhet av byggmaterial genom hela konstruktionsprocessen och byggnadens livslängd. The Forest to Building Digital Framework (F2BDF) hjälper till att övervinna luckor i dataflödet, att öka transparensen i ingenjörsprocessen och att optimera effektiviteten i hela värdekedjan. RISE Research Institutes of Sweden med Peter Bomark och Peter Funk har haft huvudansvar för arbetspaketet för den digitala tvillingen F2BDF och koordinerade arbetet med att samla in de data som behövdes för att bygga modellen. Plattformen är byggd av Paramountric men där data kommer från VTT, Moelven, Garnica och Focchi Group. Vid WoodRise Congress visas resultaten upp i en monter men också via föredrag på Kongressen.
