There is no better way to show care for the environment than through real actions.   That was exactly what 43 of our colleagues from HLA’s subsidiary Tasek Corporation Berhad did. They spent a meaningful Saturday morning together with their family recently at the Segari Turtle Sanctuary, Lumut Perak, to learn about the importance of turtle conservation and the sanctuary’s work in preserving these endangered species.   The event was a great success. It not only contributed to the well-being of the turtles at the sanctuary, but also fostered a sense of environmental stewardship among the participants—in line with our aspiration of enabling healthier environments and communities under #BeyondHLA.   #HLA #HLAFamily #Tasek #TasekFamily

Educating future generations is an important part of BeyondHLA—especially when it comes to tackling existential global challenges like climate change. Under BeyondHLA’s Youth4Planet Challenge, over 40 HLAsians volunteered with Xingnan Primary School to share about sustainability and the built environment as well as transportation sectors, engaging the students on their ideas and proposed solutions to create liveable cities while solving environmental and sustainable problems. HLAsians responded warmly to Youth4Challenge initiative—with volunteer Andrew Yeo, Senior HR Manager at HL Building Materials aptly explaining his reasons why: “I find great joy working with children, and by engaging them at an early age, we can instil lifelong habits and values that promote conservation and respect for our planet.” We are delighted to see the ingenuity and enthusiasm from the students, honing 21st century STEAM skillsets through creative play. HLA has released our financial results for the half year ended 30 June 2024. Keeping up with the growth momentum started in 2023, the HLA Group delivered strong performance for the half year with Group revenue up 8.5% YoY to S$2.3 billion, driven by robust growth in both powertrain solutions and building materials business segments. Correspondingly, net profit attributable to shareholders also increased 60.9% from S$30.8 million to S$49.5 million. An interim dividend of S$0.01 per share would be issued. Notable corporate highlights for the Group include: √ Ranked 14th on the Singapore Governance and Transparency Index under the General Category by NUS Business School’s Centre for Governance and Sustainability, August 2024  √ Ranked as one of Asia Pacific Climate Leaders 2023 on the Financial Times and Statista list for transparency in reporting and greatest reduction in core emission intensity relating to Scopes 1 and 2 between 2017 and 2022 for the third consecutive year, June 2024  √ Ranked 118th in the inaugural Fortune Southeast Asia 500 companies list, June 2024  √ Ranked 90th as Singapore’s Best Employers by The Straits Times and Statista, April 2024 For the second half of 2024, HLA expects to stay the course in our performance.   #HLA #FinancialResults #FutureReady
