  • Last Thursday, close to 300 Team Members came together for our inaugural International Women’s Day event, organised by Marina Bay Sands’ all-women employee resource group EmpowHer. Themed ‘Choose to Act, Dare to Accelerate’, the full-day event celebrated and uplifted our female employees with a line-up of activities. The event kicked off with opening remarks by our Chief Operating Officer Paul Town, followed by a special video message from Dr Miriam Adelson, who laid the grounds for the success of Marina Bay Sands together with her late husband and founder of Las Vegas Sands Sheldon Adelson. Team Members joined a fireside chat with Singaporean actress and former Nominated Member of Parliament Janice Koh, who shared about how she embraces life with positivity and happiness. She imparted a wealth of advice, from identifying self-limiting beliefs and developing a set of tools to cope with life’s struggles, to surrounding oneself with a tribe to journey through life’s joys and challenges together. Team Members also indulged in a sumptuous international buffet spread capped with beautiful desserts, before enjoying other activities such as a financial literacy talk helmed by HSBC’s Ashmita Acharya and our Chief Financial Officer Suzie Tan, as well as self-defense and wellness classes, and a retail pop-up by non-profit Singapore Council Of Women's Organisations.   • We are privileged to have taken home the prestigious Hotel of the Year award yesterday at the inaugural Tatler Best of Singapore 2025. Through the awards, Tatler celebrates exceptional properties that have raised the bar in luxury hospitality.   • Throwback to the 9th Sands Suppliers Excellence Awards on 28 February, where we gathered some 700 top suppliers for a ‘Retro 70s’ themed night of fun over live entertainment and a spectacular feast of Singaporean delights at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Inaugurated in 2013, the annual Sands Suppliers Excellence Awards are a first-of-its-kind vendor recognition programme within Singapore’s hospitality industry. A global initiative spearheaded by Las Vegas Sands Corp., the Awards reflect the company’s commitment to fostering local businesses, a key business ethos since our opening in 2010. Over the past decade, some 90 per cent of our procurement spend has gone to Singapore-based businesses. Congratulations to eight outstanding suppliers who took home trophies for demonstrating exceptional performance in Corporate Culture & Sustainability, Design Excellence, Innovation, Operation Excellence and more. “We deeply appreciate the dedication of our suppliers, who are the bedrock of our success.   • The Food Bank Singapore has joined Sands Cares Accelerator, a three-year membership programme designed to empower non-profits to achieve greater community impact. This partnership will see The Food Bank Singapore receive US$100,000 annually, along with strategic counsel and mentorship from Las Vegas Sands and Marina Bay Sands. The Food Bank Singapore will focus on expanding its bank card programme to help beneficiaries receive food aid through smart wallets and simplifying its food distribution process to better serve beneficiaries. The Food Bank Singapore is the seventh organisation to join the Sands Cares Accelerator, a programme launched in 2017 to help fast-track nonprofit organisations on the tipping point of making a leap in community impact. This announcement comes on the heels of our successful fourth annual Sands Cares Global Food Kit Build with The Food Bank Singapore yesterday. Over 300 Marina Bay Sands Team Members, retail tenants and Sands Hospitality Scholarship recipients assembled 6,000 food kits filled with essential items including biscuits, rice and canned food, for distribution across the community.   • On Monday, we welcomed top Australian golfer Minjee Lee and 28 young golf talents from the Singapore Golf Association for an engaging ‘In Conversation With’ session in the Hybrid Broadcast Studio at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. As one of the world’s most consistent players, Lee shared invaluable insights from her journey, offering a glimpse into the mindset of the 10-time Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour champion. As the first female brand ambassador of our parent company, Las Vegas Sands, Lee inspires communities by highlighting the success stories of female role models. During this dialogue, Lee shared mental focus strategies, including techniques to centre her mind and ensure a single bad shot doesn’t derail her entire game.
