Our Industrial Designer and Creative Director, Melvin Ong is featured in the lastest episode of Trailblazers by Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre alongside host XiXi , exploring answers to the question: "Is it possible to modernize the traditional craft of lantern making?" Featured in the episode is our award-winning Harmony Spheres lamp, by the team of Melvin Ong and Xu Xiao in collaboration with Singapore’s last lantern maker, Jimm Wong. Inspired by the Chinese ivory puzzle ball, this lamp showcases a multi-layered, rotating spherical design that beautifully marries tradition with innovation. Harmony Spheres leverages on Jimm’s traditional bamboo craftsmanship and combines it with our team’s 3D design and prototyping expertise. Want to find out more about Harmony Spheres?
