The Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) was established in 1883 by a group of about 30 members from the Eurasian community. Situated in an enviably prominent location, SRC, which occupies 20,000 sq. metres of land, straddles the Civic District and the world-class arts centre at the Esplanade.
"Owned by members. Managed by members. For members."
The Club’s on-going commitment to its 5,500 principal members is to promote all forms of sports, recreation and social activities; and actively participate in activities of national sports associations and the Singapore National Olympic Council. The commitment to sporting excellence is enshrined in the Club’s Constitution and prevails to the present day.
