The-Wolfpack (the-wolfpack.com) is a Singapore-based venture firm focused on helping early-stage Asia Pacific (APAC) startups reach customers with smarter media and experience-first strategies. It aims to be the venture partner of choice for APAC startups in the consumer goods, leisure and media sectors, who are looking for strategic capital to drive growth in nuanced markets across Southeast Asia and Australia. The firm’s name was chosen because of the team’s founders’ firm belief that entrepreneurs thrive best in a wolfpack.     They say the first one is always the sweetest, and this sure was extremely sweet! Very proud to announce that The O4 Company won Consumer Event of the Year for Sneaker Con Southeast Asia 2023 at the Singapore MICE Awards last night! This was especially special because it’s the inaugural year for this category AND we were up against some very tough competitors, many of whom are industry veterans. Immensely thankful to my passionate, committed and energy-filled team, as well as our awesome, awesome US Sneaker Con family, Alan Vinogradov barris vinogradov Yuming Wu William Debord and the whole team - thank you so much for the trust and support! It is with much humility that we accept this award, but also with much pride that we charge forward, and continue to build world-class consumer brands. We can’t wait to share what we’re cooking up, so follow us on our exciting journey to bring many more amazing and impactful events, media and content to fans and consumers around the world!     Long post coming up but so necessary! GastroBeats 2024 comes to an end tonight. It’s been such a surreal past 24 days and an amazing experience seeing 12 months of work come to life. We set out to build not just a festival of food and music, but something much more. From the beginning, our vision was, is and will continue to be, to create an inclusive, diverse, platform for our people, our communities, to come together, to celebrate, to realise dreams and goals , and to be proud of what they can achieve. We wanted to play the role of helping to make all this happen. And in reflecting on the past 12 months of planning, engaging and executing, I can touch my heart and say we did exactly this. In solid partnerships with our mentors 53A, Aiken Chia and Nina Tan, we launched our inaugural mentorship programs for both musicians and content creators, which have given birth to our first batch of GastroBeats Gig-gers and GB-Lets, respectively. We’ve seen these talents grow week on week, and I’m really filled with so much pride when I see how they’ve come into their own in all ways - not just technically, but in terms of self-confidence and how they more than hold their own. Thank you everyone, you made this program rock! I’m also thankful for our brand partners and every single food, retail and entertainment partner, many of whom have become more than just commercial relationships because they get what we’re building - we look forward to continuing on this journey with you! I want to give a special shout out to Glenn Ong, Angelique Nicolette Teo and Mark Van Cuylenburg and the KISS 92 team for their great partnership and support over the past few months, it’s been a dream to work with you. The over half a million bodies (2- and 4-legged) who have walked through our gates to eat, drink and be happy have kept the team going. You are the beating heart of our community and we promise you, the O4 team has soooo much more in store in the coming months!     GastroBeats 2024: A Heartfelt Thank You As July begins, I look back on the whirlwind that was GastroBeats 2024 with immense gratitude. Over 550,000 attendees graced us across 26 days. This overwhelming participation underscores the collective spirit that brought this festival to life. The journey to GastroBeats has never been easy, but our community has continuously risen to the challenge, making each festival more remarkable than the last. Community is the soul of GastroBeats, and it drives us to create the best People’s Festival every year. Our brand partners, your unwavering support and collaboration were the festival’s lifeblood. Special thanks to Sze Ling Jen, Fazrina Shreen and the Coca-Cola team; Hannah Nicolette W., Shirmaine Tan, Meryl Ho and the Asahi Group Holdings team; Stephanie N., Leanne Ng Yi Min, Harris Lim and the Makoto-Ya team; Karoline Lem, Hui Xin Lee, and the foodpanda team, among others. Your contributions were the backbone of GastroBeats. To the rockstars — 53A, NationOne, Shirlyn + The UnXpected, Little Band Plus, Jumpstart, Jukuleles, Passerby, Joie Tan, Syltra, Tabula, Supersonic — your performances were the festival’s heartbeat, bringing joy, energy, and unity. Capturing the crowd dancing to your music gave me goosebumps and showcased the undeniable magic of the #BestVibes. This year, we launched community-driven mentorship programs for aspiring musicians and content creators. The GIG-ers Mentorship Programme, led by our Chief Music Officer 53A, and the GB-LETs Mentorship Programme, guided by Chief Content Officers Aiken Chia and Nina Tan, were designed to nurture young talents. These aspiring artists embarked on a transformative 6-month journey, learning from the best and showcasing their skills at GastroBeats. Watching them grow and collaborate has been a profound joy, reaffirming our commitment to fostering a supportive community. To the media outlets that supported us, our gratitude is immense. Special shout to Kiss92 FM and Catch.SG for joining us on this journey. Your synergy and creativity were incredible. To our extended family — every attendee who brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of belonging — you are a testament to the power of community. This journey has been extraordinary, and I am deeply honoured to have shared it with you all. To my team of overachievers, your dedication behind the scenes has been crucial.
