  • 🎉👏🏻 And that’s a wrap for the Asia CEO Summit at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore happened on 24-26 September 2024. Close to 100 #businessevents industry leaders from around the world gathered to discuss key industry issues and explore growth opportunities in the region. The conversations, ideas, collaboration, and friendships forged over the past 3 days have been nothing short of inspiring, highlighting the impact and purpose of the #businessevents industry. Day 2 was filled with thought provoking and inspiring insights, from exploring new event models for the Asian market to uncovering the opportunities for Chinese organisers expanding into Southeast Asia. We also delved into the growth of the M&A market in Asia and how #AI is the “new oil” for the #businessevents industry.   Here are some key takeaways from the panel sessions on Day 2 (powered by Snapsight): 💡 Beyond square metres: Successful organisers are pivoting from pure square metre sales to providing measurable business value for exhibitors and attendees. 💡 China: Chinese organisers see huge potential in markets like Singapore and Indonesia. Technology sectors like optoelectronics offer promising opportunities. 💡 M&A market in Asia: Despite challenges, Asia remains a compelling market for PE, especially in live events and exhibitions. 💡 AI: Is content the “new oil” for the industry? The future of exhibitions lies in curating value for customers and attendees through content, not just filling floor spaces.   Read Day 1 & 2 panel sessions takeaways here - https://lnkd.in/g_F96MpC   And what better way to wrap up the Asia CEO Summit then with a guided walking tour around Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Area, ending with some ice cold beer and delectable food! A huge thank you to all our attendees, speakers, attendees, sponsors and partners for making this summit a resounding success! See you at Asia CEO Summit 2025 👍🏻 UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry, Association of Event Organisers, SISO - Society of Independent Show Organisers

  • 🌍👏🏻 What a fantastic Day 1 of the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁! Held at the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay, Singapore, the ballroom was buzzing with energy as #businessevents leaders from across the globe gathered to connect, collaborate, and discuss the future of business in #Asia. From exploring the impact of geopolitical shifts to diving into the evolving needs of event audiences, the summit offered invaluable insights into key industry trends. Discussions on China and India, two of the region's economic powerhouses, were particularly enlightening, inspiring attendees with strategies for growth. Here are some key takeaways from the panel sessions on Day 1 (powered by Snapsight): 💡 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸: Post-pandemic, the exhibition industry has emerged stronger and more focused 💡 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮: Asia's recovery is accelerating, with shifting dynamics in Southeast Asia 💡 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮: SEA offers massive opportunities in green tech, digital innovation, and more. With a young, tech-savvy population of 670M, the region is primed for growth. 💡 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀: US-China rivalry is structural and here to stay. India emerging as potential 'third way' between super powers. 💡 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝗻: “Next gen" is now "now gen" - 55% of the workforce will be 45 or younger by next year. Industry needs to adapt to the needs of Gen Z attendees 💡 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮: With improved infrastructure, there is no better time to enter the Indian market. But success requires long-term commitment, cultural understanding, and the right local partnerships. 💡 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮: Despite economic headwinds, China's exhibition market remains massive. But organisers must adapt to changing dynamics. 💡 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽: Thriving in uncertainty and bringing out the best in others are the cornerstones of effective leadership in today's complex business landscape. Read more session takeaways here - https://lnkd.in/gdTstSGe There was no better way to cap off Day 1 then a memorable dinner at the Victoria Concert Hall filled with great conversations and laughter - this is truly what events are all about! Looking forward to an exciting Day 2 at Asia CEO Summit!
