Hosting alumni from ESSEC Business School, INSEAD and New York University at Poddster Singapore, together with our friends from Vogue, for a very special evening talking about creative content concepts and luxury brands. I had the opportunity to prepare for the panel where I co-presented alongside Bettina von Schlippe, Natasha Damodaran, moderated by lovely Madina Kalyayeva. Studying what makes luxury brands stand out and how they approach content creation helped me learn or reinforce some aspects of what makes Poddster a premium brand of #global #podcasting, but also what can make YOUR personal or company brand stand out. 💍 Build on Authenticity Unlike their copycats, luxury brands are distinguished by their authenticity. They offer customers something certifiably rare, which has been prepared according to rigorous standards. As Nir Eyal says often, you gotta share something different, something unique, something - you! Don’t copy others. Be yourself. Be unique. 🦸🏻♀️ Flaunt a visionary founder The extraordinary founder story can extend beyond a company’s scrappy startup story to reveal people destined for greatness in the industry. Make it personal. Be it personal brand or company. There’s gotta be a Hollywood style plot. There’s gotta be a human story behind. It’s what’s make it stand out. 🏆 Enlist an A-List of customers While a rich history and a telegenic founder’s story can help your luxury brand keep its luster, conscripting a Who’s Who of exceptional customers can give a luxury brand an aspirational glow for other consumers. Make sure you associate yourselves with guests on your podcast who are A-Listers, don’t sell your guest seat for short term gains. If you’re a brand, make an effort to please your customer and your customer will sell your story for you. As Satya Nadella of Microsoft says: “Customer centricity is not doing what your customer tells you to do. It is listening carefully, taking it to your team, and delighting the customer beyond expectations with your response. So, don’t sell yourself short. Make an effort to enlist an A-List and it will pay dividends down the road when your content explodes.
