SPRÁVNA RADA PRE ROK 2024/2025 V máji 2024 sa uskutočnilo Valné zhromaždenie, na ktorom bola zvolená nová Správna rada SSŠF pre akademický rok 2024/2025. 🗳️ Nová správna rada už od leta pilne pracuje na tom, aby v nasledujúcom akademickom roku priniesla študentom nezabudnuteľné kultúrne udalosti, vzdelávacie podujatia a množstvo ďalších príležitostí, ktoré im umožnia naplno rozvinúť svoj potenciál. 🎉 Dynamický duch a nové nápady prichádzajú aj s našimi novými členmi tímu, ktorí už teraz prinášajú energiu a inovatívne myšlienky do všetkých našich projektov. 💡 Tešíme sa na všetky výzvy a možnosti, ktoré nový akademický rok prinesie! 💪 SPSA BOARD FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR. In May 2024, the General Assembly elected the new Board of SPSA for the 2024/2025 academic year. 🗳️ Since the summer, the new board has been working diligently to bring students unforgettable cultural events, educational programs, and many other opportunities to develop their potential fully in the upcoming academic year. 🎉 Fresh energy and innovative ideas are also coming from our new team members, who already bring enthusiasm and creativity to all our projects. 💡 We look forward to all the challenges and opportunities the new academic year will bring! 💪

Some projects become particularly close to one's heart, and for me, the Clinical Skills Event (https://sssf.sk/cse) is one of them. I began my journey with this event five years ago as a participant, and our team was thrilled to win second place — an achievement that still surprises me today. Since then, the event has evolved from a competition exclusively for pharmacy students (initially created by IPSF) into a competition that fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, education, clinical knowledge, and skills. Today, teams consist of two pharmacy and two medical students working together to solve real clinical case problems. We can speak on a nationwide scale, since two faculties of pharmacy and four faculties of medicine in Slovakia are involved. As healthcare professionals, we all recognise the critical importance of interprofessional collaboration in providing the best possible care for our patients. This is why we need to implement strategies that promote such collaboration and education already during undergraduate studies, preparing students for the teamwork essential in clinical practice. Organising this event and collaborating with individuals passionate about making this vision a reality has been truly inspiring. The icing on the cake was when our project gained international attention, allowing us to host our first international team from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. This opened doors to expanding the Clinical Skills Event beyond national borders, and we eagerly look forward to sharing this concept with pharmacy and medical students abroad. I couldn't have been more grateful and proud of everyone involved — the Clinical Skills Event coordinators, members of pharmacy and medical associations, professors who create case reports each year, speakers who deliver wonderful presentations, sponsors who provide prices, catering and more, clinical pharmacist PharmDr. Mária Göböová, PhD. who hosts our winners in Faculty Hospital Nitra, and, last but certainly not least, our students who are eager to push their limits, skills, and knowledge further. Pharmaceutical Ball 2024 On April we organized the 3rd Annual Pharmaceutical Ball, and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to you, dear students and guests, for an amazing evening spent in the company of wonderful people. Clinical Skills Event Twelfth year of the well known project Clinical Skills Event (CSE) was held on 15th of March 2024 as a part of The week of pharmaceutical education and career. The goal of CSE is to join two related sections of medical care - medicine and pharmacy. The participants can test their knowledge from pharmacology, clinical pharmacy, and compete for the victory. The surprise of this year’s CSE was a team of students from Slovenia, from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Ljubljana, under the leadership of Izr. prof. Dr. Lovro Ziberna mag. farm. We were pleased to welcome such an extraordinary visitors and we believe that CSE has moved one step forward and has the potential to become an international competition. As is known - the competition has three rounds: shooting round full of questions and two case studies. After the competing part, three professional lectures are presented and this year they caught eyes of many. Patient Counseling Event On Thursday, right after Career Days of Pharmacists, the Patient Counceling Event (PCE) was held on Farmaceutická fakulta Univerzity Komenského v Bratislave. PCE is a regular part of the project called the Week of the pharmaceutical education and career. In the first part of the competition students take a short quiz to test their theoretical knowledge and then they move to the pharmacy. In the second part of the competition they need to implement their knowledge into practical communication with the patients. Their task is to recommend suitable therapy, to communicate properly with patients and to pay attention to the correct dispensation of the medicine. 💊 The stories and medical conditions of the patients were build on the grounds and case studies provided by PharmDr. Peter Stanko and we are very thankful, that he took important part in this project. Thanks to the jury of the professionals, great work of the actors and positive mood that accompanied the competition, we can say, that it was a success. Congratulations to the winners!🏆 1. Career Days of Pharmacists 2024 The 12th year of our biggest project - Career Days of Pharmacists was successful, and we'd like to thank you very much for an unforgettable event. Slovak representation of company PRO.MED.CS is an active partner of Slovak Pharmaceutical Students' Association. We actively participate in various events of the association, and this year we were also a proud partner of the Career Days of Pharmacists (KDF). This year it was the 12th edition of KDF 2024. Young pharmacists are interested in career opportunities in various fields at this event. It was very inspiring for me to talk to the young students and listen to their opinions, attitudes or visions. I could personally see that almost 25% of pharmacy students see their future career outside pharmacy, and see themselves more in science, research or as part of pharmaceutical companies. Perhaps surprising to me was the fact that more than 30% of the respondents do not see their career after school in Slovakia, but are considering working abroad, especially in the Czech Republic. Therefore, I was able to reflect on this fact and really passionately presented the career opportunities that our headquarters in Prague provides them. Young pharmacists, like young doctors, are the future. I am glad that I was able to spend time with them and I believe that I inspired and motivated them. Ďakujeme, že aj tento rok sme mohli byť súčasťou Kariérnych dní farmaceutov. 💊Pri našom stánku sa zastavili stovky zvedavých študentov, ktorí budú možno našimi novými kolegami a kolegyňami. 💊Ako sme im vysvetlili, naša pracovná agenda je unikátna a zároveň máme veľmi široký záber – či už ich bavia chemické alebo biologické predmety, prípadne zdravotnícke pomôcky, u nás získajú poznatky z praxe, s ktorými sa nikde inde nestretnú. 💊Najväčším lákadlom bola zahraničná spolupráca. Ako jediní na Slovensku totiž úzko spolupracujeme s národnými liekovými agentúrami ostatných členských štátov EÚ a tiež s EMA. Tak a máme prvý deň za sebou a musím zhodnotiť, že to bolo skvelé! Veľmi hodnotné a inšpirujúce, stretli sme, spoznali a rozprávali sme sa s množstvom skvelých ľudí, strávili príjemný čas a zažili niečo, čo nám a osobne mne, prinieslo veľa energie, zaujímavých podnetov a najmä utvrdenia v tom, že som na správnom mieste a to, čo robím, má význam! 🏥💜 Ďakujem, že sme mohli byť súčasťou Slovak Pharmaceutical Students' Association 💜
