INSURANCE SPORTING WEEKEND On Saturday the 14th of September 2024, WAICA Re Zimbabwe participated in the Insurance Institute of Harare sporting weekend where all insurance companies in the market came together at Belvedere Teachers College in Harare. WAICA Re Zimbabwe participated in two sporting disciplines which were marathon and volleyball. As part of WAICA Re Zimbabwe’s physical wellness initiatives for 2024 staff were encouraged to participate in sporting activities. The volleyball team had a total of nine staff members who participated, and the volleyball team came third in their group division, well done team. We would like to applaud four staff members who participated in the marathon, two participated in the 10km marathon and two in the 5km marathon. The two participates in the 5km marathon won second position in the man and woman divisions. The two winners are Clever Ruredzo and Vimbainashe Nyawo, well done. We want to conclude by applauding all staff members who participated in all sporting disciplines, well done team.

This year WAICA Re Group Cedant Training is being held in Cape Town, South Africa. We have delegates from over 13 African Countries that have come together under the backdrop of the stunning Table Mountain to share reinsurance experiences. This years training is being held under the theme "A return to fundamentals of reinsurance practice: Setting a Platform for future innovation" WAICA Re Together Towards Tomorrow

On Friday, 13th September 2024, the WAICA Re (Kenya) team in partnership with Faraja Cancer Support Trust, supported the 'Crafts for Cure' program. We handed over our donations to aid in the center’s efforts to bring comfort and creativity to children undergoing cancer treatment. This initiative is part of our continued commitment to making a positive difference in the community.
