Agreed. I love sciense, yet I suck at it, but love to read about it and think along. Scientist can have amazing ideas, like getting energy from dark matter or black holes yet at the same time it can creep one out when reading about stuff like humans trying to create miniature black holes in labs and so on. All that would explain why I love sci-fy tv shows and movies so much as well. I've watched a fast majority off them from Stargate to Farscape to X-Files to the Outer Limits to Battlestar Galactica to Expanse to Star Trek Strange New World to even Avengers. It's just amazing to see the potential what human mind can be capable of. Yet half the humanity seems to be hellbent on sending us back to the stone age, quarter of us are busy filling our pockets and maybe just maybe that 1% wants to and likes to think about stuff like this :/

I have issues with mental health myself for various reasons and totally agree. This group (AWG) helps me lots due the number of lovely members. Quotations like the ones you posted help, I do lots of volunteering work because i meet lots of like minded people. In terms of the universe it's fascinating. It's impossible to comprehend the vastness of space and how we seem to exist at all. I love space news and am also fascinated by topics like dark matter, spacetime , and in particular quantum entanglement. I don't think many young people realise how how quickly science and technology, and our understanding of the vastness of the universe has progressed. There are so many things we dont know and are yet to discover. I'm from a generation that had no computers, two black and white television stations and no internet. The future is so exciting, if we can all manage to get along and not kill of the planet.

I loved the quote as I have been trying to change my own attitude towards life which used to be more depressing and dark. Been more positive a few years, pushing myself, finding peace within myself and actually learning to accept myself as I am and enjoy being alone which a lot of people are afraid off.
Mandinos quotes are a small part of what have helped me to take a better attitude towards life and hopefully a few more people can see it that way. Also I love stars and universe it's an amazing place that has existed longer than humans, Earth, our solar system or even our galaxy and so on. There's billions of planets and possibilities. Even if you look at the night sky it's just amazing.

I love the quotes, and like the ones in your profile bio but had never heard of Mandino. According to my friend wiki his main philosophical message is 'every person on earth is a miracle and should choose to direct their life with confidence and congruent to the laws that govern abundance.' Lovely :praisesun::steamhappy::praisesun:
