(AB+ Only) Customizable Game Over Screen

Description
NOTE: As of Repentance v1.7.7, game over support has become official. This mod is no longer necessary, as a result, and will create issues if enabled. Thank you for your support.

Customizable Game Over Screen is a mod intended to expand the capabilities of modders in editing the game over screen. This mod allows for multiple mods to set-up and customize the game over screen to reflect the state of the game, a feature that the AB+ API currently does not support. The following features are provided to facilitate this purpose:

* Custom death screen animation handling for enemy/boss portraits, deathstages (location of death) and deathnotes (items).
* Customizable enemy/boss portrait sprites.
* Customizable deathstage sprites.
* Customizable deathnote sprites.

The mod comes provided with built-in support for the following mods:

* AB+ Sprite Overhaul
* Hard Mode Major Boss Patterns (and related mods)
* Any mod with support for Revelations' deathnotes item system

Credit for all modded enemy/boss portraits belong to their original artists.

If you are adding compatibility for Customizable Game Over Screen to your own mod, please see details within the "main.lua" or "modding documentation.lua" files located within the mod's folder.

Note: Due to the nature of how UI elements and shaders are handled within Binding of Isaac, it is recommended you restart your game after enabling/disabling this mod. As this mod requires use of a shader to function, it is recommended to install and run Mod Compatibility Hack alongside this mod if it is being used alongside other mods that utilize shaders.

Curious if this will be updated.

This is an interesting idea, but I found out that if I have this mod installed all the icons for the "Stuff I Found" and "Bestiary" lists are invisible. Also, during a run the icons on the stuff list (the pause menu list detailing all the powerups I've picked up during the run) are invisible as well. I have the mod "Mod Compatibility Hack" installed and that didn't fix the issue. I've restarted the game multiple times with the mod on and off and only with "Customizable Game Over Screen" turned off do I get all the icons back.

I didn't run into any frame rate drops or performance issues like others have said, but because of the aforementioned HUD issues I unsubscribed. Like I said: good idea, but the HUD issues were a turn off for me.

Apologies for any slowdown issues some people may be experiencing with the mod. However, without any details (such as in-game console errors or other mods being ran besides Mod Compatiability Hack) I am unable to address them, as I am unable to recreate these issues on my end. These issues could be due to other mods, and it is recommended that you test the mod with other mods disabled to be certain if this mod is the cause of slowdown. These issues may also be due to the mod utilizing shaders, which have been known to cause device-specific issues, such as slowdown. Unfortunately, however, the mod's shader is necessary to be able to properly render the game over screen, due to the screen-darkening game over screen effect and current API limitations, and as such there are no plans to remove it; again, apologies. Details are in the Known Issues thread.

Also reporting a massive frame drop with this mod enabled - of course, using Mod Compatibility Hack

Game becomes almost unplayable with this mod on. It ends up chugging the gameplay, even with the mod compatibility hack turned on.

The game over screen, along with other UI elements, are preloaded by the game upon start-up. As such, the graphics for these features will not be modified until the game is restarted. If you're noticing white boxes or transparent areas on the game over screen after enabling/disabling this mod through the in-game Mods menu, then please restart your game to fix it.
