More appealing player colours [OUTDATED]

Description
This mod has the aim of giving the player more interesting colours, with some attention towards historically accurate uniform colours of the time. Rather obviously this mod changes the current colours, rather than adding new ones, which is not a possibility so far.

What appalled me since the beginning was the lack of a white colour in the vanilla game, and as I almost only play with the Austrians, that bothered me a lot.

I'm going to accept colour requests, probably doing polls to allow people to decide which one they want to be removed in exchange for the new one. So far the colours are:

1. Dark red (intended to be used with the British, or Russians for the streletsy)
2. Steel Blue (Usable with quite everyone)
3. Bright green
4. Bright grey (used by many nations through the period, or as a neuter colour for irregulars, 17th century units etc)
5. Burgundy red (Poland, Venetia, in for variety as many players may want a red color, also many nations at that time used red uniforms)
6. Prussian Blue (good for the Prussians in theory, but with the RoG update the grenadiers were also reskinned so the player-bound colour is way less relevant I'm afraid)
7. Dark green (good for the russian grenadiers)
8. Pistachio-Mantis green (I like it for irregular troops, quite neuter)
9. Pale yellow (Neuter desertic colour for Turkey or Algerian units)
10. Pale orange (same as above, just giving some variety)
11. Black (actually a very dark grey)
12. White (white uniforms were widely used by the Austrians, French, others)

Despite the fact that this exact mod was created by myself solely, I must give credit to Marquis aka Francesco Cavalli on the C3 forums, for finding out first how to mod player colours.

I see, but since I forgot almost entirely how this is done, it's still a few hours of my time spent to fix something so trivial in others lives lol

Here in the comments I explained how to fix the mod for a couple of people. If you go back a few pages you should find it.

the game was abandoned many years ago so we shouldn't be worried if a patch breaks a mod

Indeed. I stopped playing and the constant useless udpates kept breaking the mod. It was stupid of me to continue investing time into fixing the mod, especially because the mod didn't need updating for several months back in 2021 or so, allowing my mind to forget how mod updating even worked... Sorry pal.

I had some time in august but that is long gone now. I'm not sure I will have any considerable vacation time soon and that would be the only time I'd put some time into updating the mod.

Do you mind updating the mod by time?

This August I'll have a long break from work. I will do it then if one of you reminds me.

I think one update should be enough, as so far no further support for Cossacks is planned as far as I know:steamthumbsup:

But you do understand that it's gonna break as soon as they release any patch at all? Even a winter or halloween event as you said. Anyway, I might try that but I don't have that time now. I might do it later in January.
