The ideal candidates will ensure that all safety and environmental regulations are adhered to, promoting a culture of safety throughout our construction projects. Duties & Responsibilities • Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures. • Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices. • Maintain records of safety incidents and conduct investigations as necessary. • Collaborate with site agents and project managers to create safe work environments. • Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices. The role will involve site work across a number of our projects in the Kingdom of Eswatini with the office base being located in Matsapha Industrial Area. Full job description A Junior Quantity Surveyor (JQS) plays a crucial role in the construction industry, assisting in the management of construction projects from a financial perspective. Key responsibilities include: 1. Data collection: Gathering and analyzing project data, such as costs, quantities, and schedules. 2. Estimating: Preparing estimates and quotations for materials, labor, and services. 3. Cost control: Monitoring and controlling project expenses, identifying areas for cost savings. 4. Budgeting: Assisting in preparing and managing project budgets. 5. Scheduling: Coordinating with project teams to ensure timely completion of tasks. 6. Reporting: Preparing and presenting project reports, including financial updates. 7. Site visits: Conducting site visits to monitor progress and identify potential issues. 8. Collaboration: Working closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
