Ecobank Transnational Incorporated has again demonstrated its ability to tap international bond markets with the issuance of US$400 million senior unsecured notes due 15 October 2029. It is the first public Eurobond issuance by a financial institution in sub-Saharan African financial since 2021. Strong demand from international and African investors resulted in the Notes – which were priced at 10.125% - being over 2.1 times oversubscribed. This reflected investors’ trust in Ecobank and the successful progress we are making in executing our Growth Transformation and Returns Strategy. We are thankful for the partnership from Absa Group, Africa Finance Corporation, African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), Mashreq and Standard Chartered, who acted as Joint Lead Managers and Joint Bookrunners, and Renaissance Capital Africa, who served as the Financial Adviser for the transaction. We also appreciate the strong support from our Development Finance Institution partners, who include the Africa Finance Corporation, Proparco and the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank, who helped to anchor the transaction. Il s'agit de la première émission publique d'euro-obligations par une institution financière d'Afrique subsaharienne depuis 2021. La forte demande des investisseurs internationaux et africains a conduit à une sursouscription de plus de 2,1 fois des obligations, dont le taux a été fixé à 10,125 %. Cela reflète la confiance des investisseurs dans Ecobank et les progrès que nous réalisons dans l'exécution de notre Stratégie de Croissance, Transformation et Rendements.
