What a busy (but productive!) past several weeks it has been at ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Thailand as we actively engage in promoting Austrian education as well as supporting Austrian businesses in Thailand 🚀   Recent highlight was our Skilled Labour Workshop, which was led by experts from ibw - Institut für Bildungsforschung der Wirtschaft, focusing on improving the Thai workforce. Leading Austrian subsidiaries such as Siemens Mobility, voestalpine Railway Systems, ALPLA Group, ASQS and Lenzing Group participated. This workshop also served as a kick-off on the launch of Alliance for Dual VET in Thailand, with attendance of colleagues from the German and Swiss embassies along with participants from respective companies and subsidiaries from their countries such as Bosch, Amata, SGS, and Neoperl Group.   We also accompanied a group of students and teachers from the computer science program at the Fachhochschule Technikum Wien on their study trip to Bangkok. The students visited leading Thai universities (King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Asian Institute of Technology, Kasetsart University) and private companies in the IT sector (ASQS, OOZOU) gaining valuable insights into Thailand's tertiary education and business landscape.    We also had a strong presence of our catalogue exhibition booth at the OCSC International Education Expo, which is Thailand's biggest and most-premier study-abroad education fair of the year. Representing five Austrian universities (FH Kufstein Tirol – University of Applied Sciences, Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, Management Center Innsbruck, FACHHOCHSCHULE KÄRNTEN and Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna), we showcased the excellence of Austrian education and highlighted OeAD-GmbH – Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung scholarships for Thai students interested in pursuing to study abroad in Austria. We're excited about all the opportunities and collaborations that these initiatives have generated. Our recent experience with Chris Yorke's visit to Bangkok (the CEO of Österreich Wein Marketing GmbH - Austrian Wine Marketing Board) is a testament to our expertise. Beyond traditional business meetings and market research, we also specialize in crafting tailored business trips for Austrian companies interested in exploring the Thai market. Our recent Austrian Business Circle Luncheon at the The Westin Grande Sukhumvit in Bangkok last Friday was a resounding success! We gathered nearly 100 Austrian businesses and their partners to network, share insights and welcome our new Commercial Counsellor, Michael Friedl.
