⚕ Health Days 2025 in Vienna brought together 𝟱𝟬𝟬+ 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟰𝟬+ 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, fostering discussions on 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 and new business connections. Delegations organised by ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA also had the chance to gain insights into Austria's healthcare system ahead of the event. Andrea E. Schmidt, Department Head of One Health at Gesundheit Österreich GmbH, delivered an outstanding presentation on One Health, keeping the audience engaged until the very end. Other impressive speakers included Pravin Chaturvedi, Christine Neudert, Damita Pressl 🎤, Klaus Donsa, Viktoria Prantauer, Julie Rosser, Markus Hochegger-Krawanja, Thomas-Peter Ebm, and Charlotte Gabet, who all provided valuable insights into their work. Under the motto 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵, the event emphasised the importance of cross-industry and cross-border collaboration - a key message also highlighted by Mariana Kühnel, representing the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber on stage. With the arrival of innovative startups GATE Space and R-Space, along with the expansion of high-tech company ENPULSION, the space cluster is expanding rapidly. The AirportCity at Flughafen Wien - Vienna Airport offers ideal conditions for aerospace businesses. Last year alone, five projects received a total of 2.5 million euros in funding, four of which were implemented in Lower Austria. To further boost innovation, a "Makerspace" will be established in autumn 2025, providing startups with facilities to produce and test prototypes. Thanks to this people-centred approach, Probando has completed two successful funding rounds, won several awards and expanded to 20 countries - and now serves more than 200 customers worldwide. 🌳 The Technische Universität Graz has developed a 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 to promote resource-efficient construction. Its innovative project MOHOHO combines modular and skeletal construction methods to increase both the flexibility and lifespan of buildings. In this approach, wooden room modules are stacked on top of and next to each other to create the structure. The supporting frame allows internal walls to be adjusted, making it possible to change the layout or even add new sections as needed. The modules are made from cross-laminated timber, a strong and durable material, and are connected with a special joint that ensures stability and quick assembly. One key advantage of this system is safety. If one part of the building is damaged, the rest remains stable. Another benefit is sound insulation, as a special layer inside the connecting joints helps to reduce noise between floors.
