20 years saving Asia's dogs & cats through rescue, CNVR, treatment, shelter, adoption & ending the dog & cat meat trade

เกี่ยวกับเรา

Soi Dog’s mission is 'To improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Asia, resulting in better lives for both the animal and human communities, to create a society without homeless animals and to ultimately end animal cruelty'. Established in 2003 in Phuket, Thailand, Soi Dog is Southeast Asia's largest organisation helping stray animals. The sanctuary in Phuket is currently home to over 1,800 animals. Soi Dog also has a treatment facility in Bangkok and responds to crisis situations throughout the region. The foundation operates entirely from donations. Today, Soi Dog’s spay and neuter programme, CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return), is at the forefront of its operations and is aiming to reduce the number of animals born into a life of suffering and abuse or neglect, eliminate rabies and stop the spread of other infectious diseases among dogs and cats, benefitting both animal and human communities. It carries out CNVR programmes in various locations around the country and is also committed to a long-term CNVR project in Bangkok. Since 2003, Soi Dog is responsible for neutering and vaccinating over one million dogs and cats throughout the country and is now completing over 21,000 procedures every month. Soi Dog Foundation was instrumental in seeing the dog meat trade abolished in Thailand and the introduction of new animal welfare laws that came into effect in 2014. The fight actively continues in other Asian countries. The sanctuary in Phuket is home to the most advanced shelter dog and cat hospitals in Southeast Asia dedicated to the treatment of stray animals. Soi Dog’s adoption programme finds loving homes for rescued dogs and cats. Our Education and Community Outreach programmes are actively teaching local schoolchildren and communities about animal welfare and helping to implement a different approach to the treatment of stray and domestic animals in Thailand. The Phuket sanctuary welcomes visitors and volunteers from all over the world, year round.

Every stray animal deserves a chance at a better life. Through our CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme, we’re making that a reality—on a massive scale. 📢 In February alone, 19,865 dogs and cats were spayed/neutered and vaccinated. This brings our total for 2025 so far to 42,981, and our all-time total since 2003 to an incredible 1,398,476! 🐾🎉 Every unsterilised stray can lead to tens of thousands of homeless animals over generations. Spaying and neutering is the only humane, effective solution. This mission is only possible because of YOU. Your support means fewer animals born into suffering and more hope for the future.  🔗 Learn more about Soi Dog’s CNVR Programme and be part of the change: https://lnkd.in/dFXmyQTS

Kogoli's journey started in the most heartbreaking way. 💔🐶 He was found severely injured after a road traffic accident, with one eye protruding and in critical condition. It was a race against time to save his life.  Our Emergency Response Team rushed Kogoli to our dog hospital, where he underwent life-saving surgery to remove his left eye. We’re in awe of the strength this tiny puppy showed throughout his ordeal. 💪😍 Today, Kogoli is fully recovered and happily living in our Puppy Run, where he’s always bouncing around and playing with his new friends. It’s so heartwarming to see him thriving after all he’s been through.   Thanks to your support, Kogoli is now living the happy, playful life he deserves. Help us give puppies like him the same chance at a better future. Please click here to make your life-changing donation: https://lnkd.in/gTda8t4x ✨🐶

Her eyes tell a story of exhaustion, of a life spent searching—for food, for safety, for a way to keep her puppies alive. 💔 But this cycle of suffering ends today. Because of compassionate people like you, Soi Dog’s CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme has given this mama the greatest gift: freedom from endless litters, from hunger, from the struggle to survive. She will never have to go through this again. The most powerful way to stop suffering is to prevent it before it begins. Spaying and neutering saves lives. Thank you for being the reason animals like her get a second chance.

“Earning her love was worth every single second.” – Shirly’s adopter 🥺 Shirly arrived at Soi Dog in 2022 as a five-week-old pup. She’d been hit by a car, and the injuries to her tiny body meant she needed an urgent amputation of her left hind leg. If only we could have told that sweet little girl that everything would be okay – that 18 months later, she’d be fully adjusted to life on three legs and on her way to join a forever family in New York! 🇺🇸 Shirly recently celebrated one year in her forever home – a year full of love, growth and adventure. Marking the occasion, her adopters said:   “Happy Gotcha Day to our Shirly! Our first few months together were exciting, but also heartbreaking, seeing such a sweet and gentle dog be so nervous and unsure of how to be loved. But with time and allowing her space to realize she is in her forever home, she has blossomed into a silly, sassy, and incredibly smart girl who loves car rides, running at the park, going to the beach, and cuddling while watching TV.  Endless appreciation to all those who have supported us along the way, with a special shoutout to the team that brought her to us. Earning her love was worth every single second and winning her trust has meant more than I can ever put into words.” 🐕 Ready to experience the life-changing love of a soi dog like Shirly? Imagine a world where no puppy or kitten is born into suffering. A world where every stray dog and cat is free from hunger, disease, and fear. Thanks to you, we are making that world a reality. 💛 With over 1.3 million animals already spayed and neutered since 2003, Soi Dog’s CNVR (Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) programme is the largest of its kind in the world—and it all began with just three people and a dream. Today, 19 mobile teams travel across Thailand, tirelessly working to end the cycle of suffering, sterilising over 20,000 animals every month. And the best part? We’re growing faster than ever! 🚀 With big plans ahead, we can’t wait for you to see how much more we can do—together. 💛🐶🐱 Every sterilisation saves lives. Every single one means fewer animals struggling to survive on the streets. Your incredible support makes this possible. In 2025, our goal is to spay and neuter 280,000 animals, giving them a chance at a better life. Join us and be part of something truly life changing. https://lnkd.in/dFXmyQTS #SpayandNeuterAwarenessMonth . . #SpayandNeuter #CNVR #SoiDog #Vaccinate #StreetDog #AnimalBirthControl #TNVR

We were honoured to host Paul Barton at our shelter.🎹  Paul, a renowned pianist who once performed in packed concert halls in Yorkshire, has since dedicated his music to a different kind of audience—animals in need. He discovered that music has a calming effect, especially on those who have suffered trauma.🤍 Paul and his family travelled all the way from Bangkok, bringing his piano to perform a heartfelt concert just for our rescued soi dogs. This emotional and beautiful performance by Paul touched not only our dogs but all of us at the shelter.🧡🐾  Paul also shared, “Soi Dog is by far the best and most friendly animal shelter we have ever visited. Hope renewed.”  Once again, thank you, Paul, for this unforgettable experience for us and for our rescued dogs. You can follow Paul and his piano journey on YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gatpjXBX

Dogs are like potato chips. You can’t have just one.😉 Deprim and Blackblack may not have started their journeys together, but they found their way to the same happy ending.🏠 Blackblack arrived in 2017 after a road accident, while Deprim came years later as a tiny orphaned pup. Their paths never crossed, until volunteers Dominique and Conor met them and fell in love with them both! Deprim (now Clover) was the first to make the journey to the UK, settling into her new home before Blackblack (now BB) joined a few months later. Now, they’re together, just as they should be.❤️
