Chief minister M K Stalin will visit the cyclone-hit areas in Villupuram district on Monday. The Villupuram district received an average rainfall of 49.29cm of rain in the last 24 hours ending at 8.30am on Sunday. Mailam in the district received the maximum rainfall of 50cm in the state.
Stalin will visit the cyclone shelter at Manthavaipudukuppam village in Marakanam union in the district and interact with the people, who were rescued from low lying areas and accommodated there. He will also visit the Vikravandi RDO’s office and review the relief and rehabilitation measures undertaken so far.

Amid heavy downpours and widespread flooding caused by cyclonic storm Fengal, Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin visited the State Emergency Operation Centre on Sunday to review the ongoing relief operations.

It lay centred at 2330 hours IST yesterday, the 30th of November over north coastal Tamilnadu & Puducherry near latitude 12.0°N and longitude 79.8°E, close to Puducherry. Electricity, prohibition and excise minister V Senthilbalaji instructed Tangedco officials to suspend electricity supply, if required, in Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpet, Villupuram and Cuddalore districts.
