Samsung unveiled its first smart ring — Galaxy Ring in January this year at the company’s Galaxy Unpacked event. Now it appears that the company will soon launch the smart ring.
As reported by Sammobile, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Ring has appeared in Samsung’s stock battery widget. After adding this widget to your Samsung smartphone's home screen, navigate to its Settings menu where you'll be presented with multiple options.
In addition to the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Fit, and Galaxy Buds, you'll also find the option for Galaxy Ring.
“Since Samsung has added the Galaxy Ring to the Battery Widget already, we think that the company will launch its first smart ring in a few weeks or months,” mentions the report.
The company is expected to launch the wearable in July this year along with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones.
Samsung Galaxy Ring featuresThe Galaxy Ring, available in platinum silver, ceramic black, and gold variants, features a concave design and a robust yet lightweight build characteristic of smart rings.
According to The Verge, the Galaxy Ring is offered in sizes 5 to 13, denoted S to XL within the band, and houses a compact battery ranging from 14.5mAh to 21.5mAh.
Samsung's Hon Pak outlined that the Galaxy Ring will track various health metrics utilising its built-in sensor array, including heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep movement, and sleep onset time. Furthermore, Pak confirmed that the ring will integrate cycle and fertility tracking by partnering with the Natural Cycles app, a trusted Samsung ally.
Moreover, Pak disclosed that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will deliver 5 to 9 days of battery life on a single charge.
