Welcome to Türkiye! 🎯 We were happy to welcome Leitbetriebe Austria, a network of leading Austrian companies, to Istanbul and strengthen international cooperation between Austria and Türkiye. Great thanks to Consul General Josef Saiger and Christoph Fleck, head of the visa section, for inviting us to the Austrian Colsulate General and for giving an overview on the Consulate’s work. This year's celebration of the Austrian National Day in Ankara took place 10 days earlier, but the weather was perfectly timed. Ambassador Gabriele Juen invited numerous guests from institutions, businesses and, of course, the Austrian community to this festive occasion in the embassy garden. The guests were able to enjoy the last warm autumn evening before the cold weather set in while enjoying Austrian delicacies and Austrian wine. The evening was accompanied by music from the Carinthian military band. The Turkish side honoured the evening with the opening by Deputy Foreign Minister Burhanettin Duran. The Austrian Consul General Saiger and his team from Istanbul were also present, as was the ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA Türkiye Ankara team Manuela Kaltenegger Görgü and Hasan Sahin Cam, MBA.
