On October 18, we were visited by the Airlines International Representation in Europe (AIRE) at our headquarters in Istanbul. During the visit, fruitful discussions were held with AIRE’s policy advisors, Nadine Braun and Elena Jaraiz, on sustainability and passenger rights.   The discussions covered the upcoming ReFuelEU Aviation regulation, amendments to the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), and general sustainability trends in Europe. Regarding passenger rights, revisions to EU regulations EU261/2004 and EU1107/2006 on passenger rights and accessibility in air transportation were reviewed, along with various topics related to National Executive Bodies and Intermodal Transport policies.   We will continue to collaborate and share knowledge on sustainability and passenger experience for the future of our industry. #TurkishAirlines

We celebrated a milestone in our journey with the 60th anniversary of our Munich route! As Turkish Airlines, we have proudly connected Istanbul and Munich since October 1964, and continue to position this city, the capital of Bavaria, as an important part of our global network. Our special event brought together our Chief Commercial Officer Ahmet Olmuştur, Bavaria’s Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder, Munich Airport CEO Jost Lammers, our Munich Consul General, as well as our senior leadership, regional authorities, Munich Airport executives, and agency managers, with a total of 170 distinguished guests. Munich holds a special place in our operations as Germany’s third-largest city and home to Germany’s second-largest airport, serving as a crucial hub in Europe. This winter, passengers can enjoy up to 29 weekly flights from Munich to Istanbul, including one wide-body option for enhanced comfort.
