【Publication】"Taiwan Shifts Up an ESG Gear in 2024" co-authored by Lee and Li's attorneys Wei-Sung Hsiao and Chun-Wei Chen is now available online!   Taiwan's primary #ESG law, the Climate Change Adaptation Act, took effect in 2023, setting 2050 as the deadline for #carbon neutrality. In 2024, new regulations on carbon trading, carbon fees, and #sustainability reporting were introduced to support this goal. We are pleased to announce that our Deputy CEO and Partner, Ms. Angela Yao Lin, has been elected as one of the three Vice-Presidents of LAWASIA (The Law Association for Asia and the Pacific) at the 37th LAWASIA Conference on October 13, 2024. She is the only female Vice-President elected for this term.   Ms. Lin specializes in construction matters, civil and administration litigation, domestic and international arbitration, and mediation across industries. She is currently Chairperson of the Women Lawyers Committee and member of Executive Committee of LAWASIA. With her extensive practical experience and exceptional expertise, Ms. Lin's election as Vice-President is a significant achievement.

【Bulletin】Our September 2024 Bulletin has been published. 💡The focus article is "Draft Amendments to the Patent Act"   In response to the growth of emerging digital industries and evolving judicial practices, the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced draft amendments to the #Patent Act on September 11, 2024. The key changes include extending the grace period for design patents and allowing multiple similar designs to be filed in a single application.
