The roll-out of Oxford Bus Company's fleet of 104 electric bus is officially complete, with the vehicles now clocking up an average of 70,000 zero-emission miles every week around the county. We partnered with Oxford Bus to install 104 EV chargers into its Cowley depot, transforming it into a fully equipped electric charging hub. Our partnership with Oxford Bus continues via our battery managed service - this service includes specialist financing to cover the initial cost of the batteries on board the buses. Steven Meersman, Co-Founder Director of Zenobē, said: “Our work with Oxford Bus demonstrates with the right approach to financing and partnership between the public and private sector, bus fleet electrification can be achieved at speed and scale to deliver a more sustainable public transport system and improved air quality.” Luke Marion, Managing Director at Oxford Bus Company, said: "Zenobē worked with us over several months to ensure the designs and layout of our electric charging infrastructure worked for our business, and during the construction period they collaborated really well with our engineering and operations teams to ensure we could continue running a busy, 24/7 bus and coach operation while at the same time constructing a very large charging facility. What’s more, the innovative financing products offered by Zenobē help businesses like ours to manage the risks involved in making the transition to zero emission vehicles."
