🙎🏻♀️Female employees of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih took part in the leading forum for women, Tempo delle Donne (Time of Women), which took place in Milan, Italy. The forum paid special attention to the life and work of women in Ukraine during the war. Under the section “STEEL DREAMS: Ukrainian women and plants work when there is a war”, our employees shared their experience of performing work that was traditionally considered as male. Their work not only breaks the mold but also serves as a speaking proof of the invincible Ukrainian spirit. Mauro Longobardo, Chief Executive Officer of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih noted the important role of Ukrainian women in supporting the country: ‘I am pleased that my colleagues have become ambassadors of Ukraine in Italy. In the third year of the war, we see that interest in the events in Ukraine is beginning to decline. However, European citizens must understand the conditions in which Ukrainian women and men work. On Friday, September 27, a Russian missile struck the administrative building of the city. Tragically, there are casualties and injured. We extend our deepest condolences to all who have lost loved ones or suffered pain and loss as a result of these brutal actions. Eternal memory to the fallen!

On Saturday, September 21, a russian missile struck residential areas of the city. Tragically, lives have been lost, and people injured. We express our deepest condolences to all those who have suffered from this brutal attack. We strongly condemn the violence against innocent civilians. Mauro Longobardo, Chief Executive Officer of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, took part in the conference “Global Outlook: Fostering Unity” organized by the European Business Association. Representatives of the leading international companies operating in Ukraine gathered to discuss with the heads of the government and state institutions the challenges facing Ukraine in the third year of the war. The main issues of concern to EBA members, such as fighting corruption, maintaining macroeconomic stability, supportive tax and customs policies, and fighting the shadow economy, have been complemented by working in the context of unstable energy supply and staff shortages. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, as the largest mining and metallurgical plant in Ukraine and the largest foreign investment in Ukraine, is a strategic company for Ukraine. Mauro Longobardo, Chief Executive Officer of the plant, pointed out: For more than 2.5 years of war, our plant has been located near the front line and continues to operate and contribute to the budget of Ukraine and the city. We have survived seven blackouts, loss and restoration of water supply. More than 3000 employees serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and 220 have lost their lives or gone missing while defending Ukraine. In mid-2024, we managed to reach half of the pre-war level of steel production and to improve the situation with iron ore concentrate production. However, in the second half of 2024, the company faced significant external and internal challenges that jeopardize keeping production at the planned level, its growth, and threaten to lose competitiveness and further development. ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih entered the TOP-10 largest investors at wartime. 📊 Our company took 9th place in the rating of NV.ua "Development is unstoppable. Who invests the most in business and the economy — the top 50 largest Ukrainian investors." The volume of capital investments of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih during the two and a half years of full scale war amounted to 9 billion hryvnias. CEO of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih PJSC Mauro Longobardo noted: "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, the largest mining and metallurgical plant of Ukraine, believes in the Victory of Ukraine and helps the country on this difficult path. Our belief is reinforced by our capital investments in key strategic projects that will improve our business and make it more effective in the long term. Almost three thousand of our employees defend the country in the ranks of the Armed Forces, and we are proud of their courage in protecting their country and their families. More than 220 employees, unfortunately, died and went missing while defending their Motherland. Despite the numerous challenges of wartime, such as a shortage of personnel and disruptions in the supply of electricity, our company works and ensures the receipt of taxes in the state and local budgets, remaining a reliable partner of the state and Kryvyi Rih." It will be recalled that in August NV asked more than 160 large companies operating on the national market about the amount of capital investment in their development during the full-scale invasion.
