Dear employees of the Mining Department! I congratulate you on the 65th anniversary of the unit! We are celebrating this day under the conditions of war - but together, miners and metallurgists, we share both holidays and weekdays and go to victory. The mining department is a confirmation of the uniqueness of our company because the ore deposits of Kryvyi Rih are the beginning of the production chain of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, which starts in the open pits and ends in the rolling mills. The glorious Kryvyi Rih steel, known throughout the world, is born from the ore you mine and enrich. Without it, further development of the company is impossible. Today we are all living in difficult times. And the Mining Department is an example of stability and perseverance: even though the shops of the Department worked at a reduced capacity, they almost did not stop with the beginning of the war. The timely reorientation of the company towards the export of iron ore concentrate helped to keep the whole operation afloat in 2022. In fact, the Third Card project is the only one in which we have not stopped investing because it is vital to the company's operations. The mining and steel industries are the foundation of the Ukrainian economy. We are working to give our defenders, who have chosen freedom and independence, a place to return to. And behind all this are you - workers, people with loyal hearts and strong spirits who go to work despite air raids, shelling and economic crises. I thank you sincerely for your work and your loyalty to your chosen profession. I wish everyone working in the Mining Department patience, opportunities for development and success. On Monday, October 28, a russian missile struck a densely populated apartment area. Sadly, there is one fatality, and others were injured. We extend our sincere condolences to all who have suffered and lost due to these brutal actions. We condemn acts of violence against civilians. Eternal memory to the deceased, and heartfelt sympathy to their family and friends.

Dear сolleagues, 28 October marks 19 years since ArcelorMittal confidently entered Ukraine and became an important player in the Ukrainian business arena. "Kryvorizhstal", as a company with a long and glorious history, began a new page of life, embarking on the path of global integration and development. For all these years, since 2005, the company has been and remains the largest foreign investor in Ukraine, its partner and friend - the confirmation of this is the total investment of $10.7 billion, more than 103.2 billion UAH in taxes and fees. The Kryvyi Rih plant is one of the Group's largest metallurgical production facilities, an important strategic asset which, as the largest mining and metallurgical enterprise in Ukraine, is now making a significant contribution to the economy despite the realities of war. We all know the folk wisdom that a true friend is a friend in need. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company has remained with Ukraine and in Ukraine. We continue to create jobs, manufacture products, reorient ourselves, restructure our work - to remain a strong and confident player on the world market. Because we understand our responsibility - to the country, to the city, to all our employees and their families. I am grateful to all the employees of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, who have worked side by side with the Company for all these 19 years, who are its driving force, its support, its heart. Now more than 3,000 of our colleagues are protecting us in Armed forces. 186 colleagues have fallen and they will not return to us but they will live forever in our memory; we continue to believe that over 50 plant workers who went missing will return to us. I am very grateful to the people who remain loyal to the company in these difficult times, who return to us after demobilisation and who work heroically despite all the threats. We work because we feel the support of the whole world, of our colleagues from different countries. We work because we must continue until the Victory and beyond. The ArcelorMittal story in Ukraine continues. It is written by all of you. I wish you all health and stamina, efficient work, and new achievements. Take care of yourself and those around you, it is very important in these times. Together we will go on to victory and do everything to ensure a bright future for Ukraine. Within the framework of the city's program to address environmental issues and improve the environment ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih planted more than 600 tree seedlings in Metalurhiinyi, Tsentralno-Miskyi and Inhuletskyi districts of the city throughout October. Despite the challenging times, the company continues to hold environmental initiatives. This time, employees of the Mining Department, Environmental Protection, rolling mill operators, blast furnacemen, and representatives of PE Steel Service took on the role of greensmen. The Palace of Culture of metallurgists hosted the launch of the third season of the educational project Nova Fabryka by ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. 🙎🏻♀️Female employees of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih took part in the leading forum for women, Tempo delle Donne (Time of Women), which took place in Milan, Italy. The forum paid special attention to the life and work of women in Ukraine during the war. Under the section “STEEL DREAMS: Ukrainian women and plants work when there is a war”, our employees shared their experience of performing work that was traditionally considered as male. Their work not only breaks the mold but also serves as a speaking proof of the invincible Ukrainian spirit. Mauro Longobardo, Chief Executive Officer of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih noted the important role of Ukrainian women in supporting the country: ‘I am pleased that my colleagues have become ambassadors of Ukraine in Italy. In the third year of the war, we see that interest in the events in Ukraine is beginning to decline. However, European citizens must understand the conditions in which Ukrainian women and men work.
