From 2021 to 2024, demand for inverters skyrocketed by 3516%! 💡 Currently, around 55,000 home solar power plants in Ukraine are benefiting from the green tariff. Looking ahead, the government is pushing for even more solar #energy adoption. By the end of 2025, schools, kindergartens, and hospitals across Ukraine will be equipped with solar panels, boosting the country's clean energy future. 🇺🇦 Ukraine’s Freedom = World’s Freedom 🌍Why should the world stand with Ukraine in its fight for freedom? Because this isn’t just about one country; it’s about the values we all share—freedom, peace, and the right to live without fear. As long as Russian fossil fuels continue to flow, this brutal war will be funded. 💬 Share your thoughts in the comments: Should the world do more to cut ties with Russian energy and stand up for a brighter, more peaceful future? #StandWithUkraine #UnitedForUkraine #SupportUkraine

🇷🇺 INSIGHTS | Germany's ban on Russian LNG is both necessary & achievable w/Svitlana Romanko, Petras Katinas & Tagesspiegel 🇩🇪 Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine & Russian sanctions, Germany’s imports of Russian LNG remain a troubling reality ⚠ While Germany's dependence on Russian LNG has decreased to 4-6% of total consumption, the imports still fund Putin's war 🇹🇷 From May 23' to 24', Germany imported EUR 182.4 m in Russian oil products via Turkish refineries 🇪🇺 In 2023, Europe imported 18.5 billion m³ of Russian LNG, a large portion of which reached Germany via neighbours like Belgium, France, & the Netherlands 🚢 Researchers estimate that up to 6% of the gas used in Germany may originate from Russia via indirect routes ☀️ 💨 Even if demand remains high until 2030, Germany & the EU could completely ban Russian gas by increasing RE production & sourcing LNG from Qatar, the US, & Australia 💡 By end 2023, 65% of Germany’s net electricity production was provided by renewables ➡ https://lnkd.in/eV9yvnQV 🇩🇪 Read full article in German: ➡ https://lnkd.in/eYPnmeT9 🇬🇧 Read full article in English: ➡ https://lnkd.in/e5JcKutU ✍️ Sign the letter urging the German government to stop buying Russian gas: ➡ https://lnkd.in/eSs-nbu9 🔎 Read more on how G7+ countries are still importing Russian crude by way of refined oil products here: ➡ https://lnkd.in/e7YawJFK 📩 Contact the team for data & more insights here: ➡ https://lnkd.in/ePUC6jGh #CleanEnergy #CleanAir #Crude #Energy #Europe #EU #FossilFuels #LNG #Oil #Russia #StandWithUkraine #Ukraine

The ongoing war has exposed vulnerabilities in Ukraine's traditional #energy infrastructure, which heavily relied on Russian imports. Rebuilding the old Soviet-era system isn't viable. Instead, clean energy, smart grids and #microgrids present a secure, #sustainable alternative. These localized energy systems offer resilience against military risks and can operate independently or alongside the primary grid, ensuring energy security even in the face of threats. #Ukraine is facing a severe heating crisis due to ongoing Russian strikes that have crippled our power plants and distribution networks. These attacks have slashed our production capacity by 9 GW in just a few months, out of a pre-war total of 53 GW. The situation is dire, with 90% of thermal production capacity lost. As we approach winter, there are growing fears of massive power cuts. Ukrainians are racing against time — repairing what can be fixed, searching for generators, and setting up heated tents. But we need more #sustainable solutions. Geothermal heating systems, heat pumps, biomass boilers, and solar water heaters are crucial for long-term energy resilience. Founder and Executive Director of Razom We Stand, Svitlana Romanko, stresses that ending Ukraine's dependence on #fossilfuels is vital. We call on #French energy companies to step up: 🔹Transfer skills to train workers, especially women, in installing renewable energy systems like solar panels. 🔹Donate just €5 per employee to help hospitals install solar panels. 🔹Pressure the French government to ban imports of Russian liquefied natural gas, which fuels the war. Let's work together to ensure a warm, safe winter for all Ukrainians while building a cleaner, more independent future. ⚡ Ukraine’s energy landscape has been profoundly impacted by the ongoing conflict, with extensive damage to infrastructure and a historical reliance on Russian imports for traditional energy sources like coal, gas and nuclear fuel. Rebuilding the centralized, Soviet-era energy system is no longer a viable option. Attempts to restore a fossil fuel or nuclear-based centralized sector are fraught with military risks, slow progress, high costs for the state and lack of appeal for private investors wary of vulnerable, high-risk assets. #Germany continues to import Russian #LNG, indirectly financing Putin's war against Ukraine. Between May 16, 2023, and May 16, 2024, Germany imported €182.4 million worth of Russian oil products via Turkish refineries. In 2023, Europe imported a total of 18.5 billion cubic meters of Russian LNG, a large portion of which reached Germany through neighbouring countries like Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Despite reducing its dependence, up to 6% of Germany’s #gas may still come from Russia. With renewable #energy sources and alternative LNG suppliers ready to replace Russian imports, Germany can stop this. A total ban is not only feasible by the end of 2024 but crucial for national security and to stop fueling the war in Ukraine. It’s time for decisive action.
