Thank you Tony Whitmore for joining World Vision Ireland on the trip to Uganda to see the transformative work we do in communities in Busia, with the support of our child sponsors. We are delighted to have you as part of the World Vision Ireland family, championing the voices of the most vulnerable 🧡🧡
Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to my fund raise for WorldVision. Having now returned from Uganda it is amazing to witness the funds being put to work. So little goes so far and after visiting health centres, water pumping stations and schools, everything provided is asbsolutely life changing for the communities. Empowering communities with creation of clusters which allows self sufficiency through farming, education, child protection and finance .The warmth and happiness of the people WorldVision are helping is so very humbling. The schools is where you see the hope and energy and as a world vision child sponsor the most inspiring. It is a privilege to fuel this enthusiasm and I recommend anyone to become a WorldVision child sponsor. Finally, I want to give a huge round of applause to WorldVision team and my fellow sponsors. A truly remarkable group of people that made the visit to Uganda truly memorable. World Vision Ireland

Last week I had a privilege to travel to Uganda with World Vision Ireland to meet my sponsored child, Priscila. Because Priscila is on the sponsorship programme her whole family benefits from it. Priscila and her younger brother and sister sleep on a mattress with new bedding and the bed is covered with mosquito net which protects them from bites and diseases. The family is further supported with an easier access to clean and drinkable water less than 100 meters away from their house. This means that Priscila doesn’t have to walk for hours to get fresh water and in the process miss going to school. I am so humbled with the community welcome, their way of life and the challenges they face every day. In our world it might be hard to imagine living in a hut without running water, access to a toilet and no electricity, yet the warmth and joy this family shared with me was incredible. What strikes me the most is how a little amount of money makes a massive difference to children and their communities in Uganda. If anyone would like to become a sponsor and change a child’s life for good please visit: https://lnkd.in/eEYd_AkZ Thank you!🧡✨🤗 World Vision Uganda.
