🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 We have partnered with Cobham-Ultra to launch an inspiring STEM roadshow series across the UK! 📍 Starting in York, we will visit four cities, as we aim to inspire over 500 students aged 11-14. These roadshows will bring the magic of STEM to life through the power of sport, giving students a taste of life as an America’s Cup sailor. 🏅⛵ Our goal is to empower young people to explore diverse career opportunities in STEM fields, challenging stereotypes and boosting their confidence. 🌍 Exciting Educational Resource Alert! 🌍 We are thrilled to introduce a new lesson plan that brings the exhilarating context of SailGP into the classroom to teach about renewable energy sources. Pupils will learn to evaluate and implement different clean energy solutions through a case study of the Low Carbon installation at the Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team base. This hands-on lesson challenges students to plan their own renewable installations globally. We are so excited to launch in collaboration with Youth Sport Trust, the SailGP Impact League School Award! 🏅 💚 The award will recognise organisations that contribute to developing a better planet by embracing sustainable school sport and the School Games Eco-Friendly value 🙌 Hannah Mills, Emirates Great Britain SailGP Team Strategist, and SailGP Global Impact Ambassador said; “At Emirates Great British Sail GP Team we have been focussed for the past two years on providing in person and online climate education for young people through our charity partner, the 1851 Trust climate education programme - Protect our Future. The education platform uses the actions of athletes and the power of sport to inspire climate action in schools across the world.
