    Streamlining pathways and releasing appointment capacity with digital questionnaires ✨ At University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, patients with rectal bleeding used to be seen in the clinic before receiving a diagnostic test for their symptoms, resulting in long waits and inflated outpatient activity. Now, upon referral patients receive a digital questionnaire about their symptoms and treatment preferences. A clinician then reviews the responses and triages the referrals, sending 64% of patients straight to diagnostic colonoscopy and bypassing the initial appointment. This has: ✅ Cut waiting times for patients ✅ Accelerated the path to diagnosis ✅ Reduced unnecessary appointments ✅ Ensured that patients receive care promptly 💚 https://lnkd.in/ej64qG5E

    ✨Trust-wide waitlist validation at scale ✨ 🌟 At University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, SMS-based waitlist validation is reducing the number of patients on the waiting list, and subsequently waiting times. 🏥 With an 80% patient response rate, over 22,000 patients have actively updated their appointment needs, cutting median wait time by three weeks. This initiative not only saves staff time in validating the waiting list compared to over the phone, but also means patients aren't left feeling in the dark about their care. 💚 #HealthTech #PatientCare

    We've recently returned from our annual summer conference 🌞 which is the highlight of the year for our Accufolk. This event always provides a fantastic opportunity for our team to spend time together and reflect on our journey so far. Here's what we got up to: Day 1️⃣: We kicked off with exec-led sessions where we celebrated our achievements over the past 12 months, acknowledged the changes we've navigated, and set our sights on the future 🌟 Day 2️⃣: We had the pleasure of hearing from inspiring patients living with chronic conditions. We also engaged in a patient persona workshop that helped to develop our understanding of their needs 💚 Day 3️⃣: We took part in a mini AI hackathon, which sparked innovative ideas, before we wrapped up and headed home 🏡 Plus, we had some fun moments too - we took part in tag rugby, a team 10k run, salsa dancing and water sports. 👟 🌊 💃🏽 #Accurx #TeamBuilding #Innovation #Healthcare

    A massive congratulations to the team in South East London Integrated Care System for being shortlisted for an #HSJAward 💚 The team have been working hard to improve primary care access for patients using digital tools (including ours 💅) to drive a total triage model that enable patients to get the care they need, when they need it. Dr Nayan Patel, GP Principal, Blackheath Standard Surgery says: “We have just completed a 3rd week of total triage. It is simply brilliant. I have had the best 3 weeks in – despite the pressure of implementation – for many years. I think with NHS APP and Accurx we have a digital solution that can be really important in allowing transformation in GP practices.” We're crossing all fingers for a win! 🏆

    Yesterday's figures reveal NHS waiting lists have risen for the third consecutive month in a row. There are now sadly an estimated 7.62 million treatments waiting to be carried out in England. Accurx's VP of Clinical, Dr Satya Raghuvanshi spoke to Reya El-Salahi at Times Radio about what's gone wrong, and what the #NewUkGovernment can do to fix it in their #First100Days. Satya states that broken communication is a major contributor to the backlog, and calls on the government to lay the foundations for clearing it by equipping hospital staff with messaging technology that makes it easy to communicate with patients. This will give patients better visibility of their care so they are not left in the dark. It will also enable staff to start resolving more patient problems outside of appointments, which will free up their time so they can direct care to those who need it the most.     When the 2024 GP Patient Survey was published, we were keen to see how the national data compared with our total triage Ambassador practices - a group of practices who run training sessions for their peers that are looking to implement a total triage model. We found.... 🥁 🌟 Patients registered with our Ambassador practices found it easier to contact their GP using the practice website and the NHS App compared to the national average, with a 20% and 10% point difference respectively. 🌟 More patients reported faster resolution of requests with a same-day service based on their last contact (42% vs 22%), suggesting that Ambassador practices are significantly better equipped with the tools and workflows to action requests more efficiently. Switching to a total triage model can be daunting. That's why we have partnered with over 170 different practices through our Ambassador scheme to date.
