🔋 Building a Cleaner Future, One Charging Bay at a Time! ⚡ 2024 may feel like a distant memory, but what a year it was for our teams deploying EV Charging infrastructure across the UK! At Actemium UK, alongside our valued partners, we successfully designed, built, and commissioned 11 brand-new sites for GRIDSERVE —bringing 92 High Power Charging Bays online across the UK! Notably, 36 bays were delivered at Moto Hospitality Rugby, one of our most complex projects yet. This site pushed our team to the limit, requiring extensive HV remodeling, three new substations, and all of it executed during the unpredictable UK autumn and winter months. Was it easy? Absolutely not. Did the team love the challenge? You bet they did! 💪 Seeing so many ABB E-mobility chargers now live and supporting EV drivers makes it all worthwhile. This is why we do what we do—accelerating the energy transition, one project at a time. 🚧 What’s next? No slowing down! Last week, we held an Apprenticeship open evening at our Instrumentation, Control & Switchgear (ICS) business unit in Gloucester. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for aspiring talent to have a tour of our shop floor, learn to wire & test a panel, explore career paths with Actemium UK and discover the incredible apprenticeship opportunities we offer. During the evening, the future apprentices also had an introduction to Actemium UK and ICS, and got an insider’s view on some of the projects we are currently working on – showcasing just how control panels are utilised across various sectors and industries! We’re proud to be part of the 5% Club, committed to invest in the future by providing earn & learn opportunities. Last week, a group of our #graduate and #apprentice engineers took part in two training sessions as part of our Engineering Advancement Programme for Automation-focused engineers. These sessions were designed to advance their skills in two "Talent" areas of their development. One session focused on developing their presentation skills, helping to build their confidence, refine their communications and deliver impactful presentations. The other session helped them grow their commercial awareness by exploring the business and economic aspects of our industry so they can gain valuable insights into the commercial landscape they work in.   Actemium UK's graduate and apprentice programmes are designed to equip aspiring engineers with the skills they need to accelerate their career development. They are tailored to those working within both our #Automation and #MechanicalandElectrical fields.   With training sessions continuing throughout the year, we're excited to see their talent grow while they learn and get the chance to apply their skills to real-world challenges!   A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this possible.

In 2024, his journey reached a new milestone as he became the Business Unit General Manager for our EV Charging Business Unit.
