Some great shots which show the early progress the Adman team are making on the site access tracks for Ballylongford Wind Farm in County Kerry which we are delivering for Energia This great project requires delivery of all Civil Balance of Plant works to accommodate six wind turbines which will generate 25.2MW of clean, green energy when operational in 2025. The wind farm will therefore play an important role in helping Ireland reach it’s 80% renewable energy target by 2030 thus reducing reliance on fossil fuels and increasing security of energy supply. #civilengineeing #renewableenergy

The Adman team are making great progress on Corlacky Hill Wind Farm as can be seen by these images which show the concrete pours being completed last week on the foundation for Wind Turbine No. 8. This important renewable energy project, which is located outside Swatragh, near Maghera is being undertaken for ERG Spa and will consist of 11 turbines which will generate 47MW of clean green energy when fully operational in early 2026.  #civilengineering #renewableenergy

The Adman team are pleased to have recently finished a range of Environmental Improvement works for Newry Mourne and Down District Council in the villages of Saintfield and Castlewellan in County Down. The scope of works in each village was varied and for Saintfield included new street lighting, resetting of granite kerb lines, installation of granite dish channels, relaying of historic stone cobbles and footpath resurfacing. At Castlewellan, key works included (but were not limited to) realignment of the Lower Square Roundabout, installation of new bus shelters and refurbishment of the toilet block in Upper Square. All works were delivered in busy villages, so careful planning and phasing of works was undertaken to minimise disruption for the local community.

The Adman team are delighted to have completed the Derriaghy Platform Extension project for Translink. This major rail project awarded under our FW073 Civil Engineering Works Framework Contract was undertaken to increase the platform widths on both the Belfast and South Bound platforms from 100m to approx. 150m long at Derriaghy Train Station (this required the full removal of the existing Belfast Bound Platform and relocation to the opposite side of the A1 Queensway Road). This important project means that the station can now accommodate the new Class 4000 carriages which Translink are introducing to the network and which enable the conversion of a number of current three carriage trains into six carriage trains. This will allow for additional capacity across the NI Railways network at peak times and will serve to meet growing customer demand while increasing transport connectivity and enhancing the customer experience as more people choose to use public transport. #railway #civilengineering
