Thank you so much to The Jordan Legacy CIC for featuring ABF on their recent 🔦 Spotlight on Hope 🔦 post!
🔦 Spotlight on Hope 🔦 This week we are shining a light on Advance Brighter Futures - 'a helping hand for people's mental wellbeing.' Established in 1992 in Wrexham, North Wales, Advance Brighter Futures is a mental health and wellbeing charity whose approach to personal recovery is not medical treatment or therapy - it is the process of building a meaningful and satisfying life as defined by the individual experiencing mental health problems. Many of those who have benefitted from its services have become volunteers, whose wealth of knowledge, empathy and patience to connect helps to inspire and give hope to others. Most of the people they support are socially isolated - the charity has made a huge difference to their lives and in helping to ensure that those experiencing mental health issues never feel like they are on their own. 🎨 𝗦𝗸𝗲𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 🎨 At our recent safeTALK suicide prevention training session, we had the pleasure of being joined by local artist Emma-Jayne Holmes who generously volunteered her time to sketch the session. Below are some of her incredible sketches – aren't they brilliant? 😍 A huge thank you to Emma for supporting ABF with your talent. The sketches are wonderful and perfectly captured the session for us in such a unique way 🖼️ We truly treasure the pieces, and we couldn’t be more grateful! 🙏 And of course, a special shoutout to everyone who attended the session and are now qualified safeTALK Alert Helpers. You're making our community a safer place to be 💛 If you’d like more information on how you can get involved with mental health training at ABF, get in touch with us: ☎️ 01978 364777 📧 info@abfwxm.co.uk 🌐 https://lnkd.in/eiphAAM3

🔦 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲 💛 Our vision at ABF is that 𝘯𝘰 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘰𝘸𝘯. So each week, we’ll be sharing a quote from someone we’ve supported - not only to give you an insight of the work we do at ABF - but to hopefully inspire others to reach out for help when they need it. This weeks quote comes from a parent who attended our PRAMS Talking Therapy sessions.
