🙌 Last month, we began working with the wonderful team at Jobs 22 🙌 This opportunity came about through the fantastic work of one of our very own cleaning staff. This particular cleaner worked with a client of ours that shared a building with Jobs 22. The Jobs 22 team witnessed her efficiency and her commitment first hand, and were impressed with what they saw. It wasn't long before this led to a strong working relationship, and we're now having a wonderful time as Jobs 22's daily cleaners. This incident showcases the dedication of our individual cleaning staff. They are experts at what they do and they are invaluable ambassadors for AIM. We recently had a fantastic time celebrating AIM's #45thAnniversary! In light of this brilliant milestone, we wanted to take a look back at the journey so far 👀 🔙 🕰️ AIM began in South East London in 1979 when one Roger Brown noticed his community was in need of a reliable and willing window cleaner. Sensing an opportunity to help those around him, Roger sold his car to buy a van and some basic cleaning equipment. Roger's reputation for professionalism and personal commitment spread fast. He soon secured his first commercial cleaning contract with a well-known building company, and thus was born "Lustrebourne Limited." Lustrebourne grew quickly, particularly within the budling sector and in commercial offices throughout London. Roger's values of integrity and respect became rooted within the company, and Lustrebourne became "AIM Hygiene Services Ltd" in 1993. In 2001, AIM became SafeContractor approved, a recognition that we have proudly held continuously ever since. After growing significantly in multiple sectors, and diversifying its range of services, the company became AIM Commercial Cleaning in 2013. We soon became one of the industry leaders in environmentally friendly cleaning. After numerous recognitions for our efforts in sustainability, we were honoured to be awarded our Carbon Neutral Gold Award in 2024. Today, we take pride in continuing to foster committed relationships and in doing the right thing wherever we can - a culture established by Roger all those years ago. AIM has always remained a family business and, as we celebrate 45 years of innovation and growth, it's safe to that AIM is now #SmarterGreenerCleaner than Roger could've ever foreseen. 🏃♀️ A little while ago, we announced that a key member of #TeamAIM, the incredible Charlie Brown, would be running 100km throughout February to raise money and awareness for the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity 🏃♀️ Well, we can proudly say that Charlie absolutely smashed this immense challenge in just 24 days! Despite the cold and wet February weather, Charlie's determination shone through and she was able to raise a whopping £1,493.75 for Great Ormond Street! 🎉 "The journey has been challenging at times, but the outpouring of support from friends, family, and everyone who reached out with encouragement kept me going. I'm truly overwhelmed by everyone's generosity." "I want to thank each and every person who supported me, whether it was through donations or messages of encouragement to cheer me on." They money Charlie has raised will help Great Ormond Street continue to provide the best possible care for seriously ill children, and will help to develop treatments that will bring hope for their future. Last week, our new partners at CMI hosted a training session, led by Luke Bresnihan from MotorScrubber, on how to get the best out of their innovative floor-cleaning tools that will be in use at CMI. With values clearly aligned with ours here at AIM, MotorScrubber have multiple different models that are in use across our sites, each scientifically crafted for unparalleled cleanliness, minimal chemical usage, and optimal user satisfaction. MotorSrubber manufacture many parts of their products with recycled materials in-house. This means they can create sustainable machines that have gone through rigorous testing to ensure the best results. 🎉 As well as running 100km in February to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital, our Charlie Brown has also been helping to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind. Last week, Charlie arranged for some of our head office team to take part in a pub quiz in aid of the charity. It's safe to say some performed better than others! But some new facts were learned, and most importantly, a lot of money was raised for this great cause.
