The United States has now reached a significant milestone with 200 exonerations, Larry Roberts being the 200th person. This number represents 200 individuals who have suffered unjust punishment and trauma for crimes they did not commit. Each of these lives endured years of longing for freedom. While we celebrate these exonerations, we must also remember those innocent individuals who still face the death penalty.
