🌟 On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ravens Wood School to present the awards for our annual Investment Club! 🌟   The Aquis x Ravens Wood Investment Club introduces students to public markets via a series of presentations and introductory sessions on the fundamentals of investing, followed by several months of live trading a mock portfolio of Aquis Stock Exchange-listed companies. Congratulations to this year’s winners Arthur and Karan, who put together the most successful portfolios.   It was a fantastic morning spent meeting and celebrating with the students. Their enthusiasm and insight into the world of finance were indeed inspiring.   Congratulations to all the participants! 🏆

🌿 A day well spent at Lavender Pond! 🌿 Our team had an incredible day volunteering, building a wooden bank to prevent soil erosion and reconstructing the footpath edging. It was a great opportunity to give back to the local community, working together to help preserve this beautiful natural space. 🎉 And that's a wrap! 🎉 We were thrilled to host our first Internship Programme at Aquis Exchange, welcoming 8 talented students for a hands-on, two-week experience. During their time with us, they had the opportunity to shadow members across all divisions, acquiring hands-on experience and learning more about the industry. It wasn't all work though – we made sure to balance it out with some fun social activities to keep the energy high and the experience memorable! A strong start to the summer for team Aquis, as we took our top speed and competitive spirit to the cricket pitch – first with our annual match against Chippenham CC (featuring our Chair Glenn Collinson) and then with a friendly against our competitors at the London Stock Exchange.   Two close fought matches and two wins for Aquis XI – congratulations to the team and looking forward to some rematches next year! 🏏

We were delighted to host the City AM Summit yesterday for a lively discussion on the future of the UK’s equity markets, following a critical election last week. Thank you to everyone who came to join us, and particularly to speakers Peter Harrison (Schroders), Baroness Kay Swinburne, Rachel Kent (Hogan Lovells), Anand Sambasivan (PrimaryBid), Alasdair Haynes (Aquis Exchange) and of course Charlie Conchie and Rupert Hargreaves of City AM. After a turbulent few years for the City, the mood of the event was markedly optimistic, with a broad sense that it’s time to move from review and discussion into action and delivery – bringing competition and competitiveness to the UK and encouraging the public back into our public markets. 📈
