In October, Arenko’s Employee Spotlight returns to the Operations team and shines on Carl Heath, our Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Manager. Gore Street Energy Storage Fund has agreed a deal to use Arenko’s Nimbus software across its operational portfolio, the companies have revealed exclusively to Solar Power Portal.

As the Investment Manager of Gore Street Energy Storage Fund (LSE: GSF), we are pleased to announce that GSF has finalised an agreement to implement Arenko’s Nimbus software platform across nearly 500MW of operational battery portfolio. This software will provide standardised data, advanced multimarket dispatch, enhanced asset operations capabilities, real-time asset telemetry, performance insights and alerting and reporting capabilities designed to help support technical performance across the portfolio, aligning with our data-driven approach and broader strategy of enhancing analytics for the active management of our managed assets. Arenko’s Nimbus software is compatible with the Accure software implemented at Lower Road and Stony which led to lower insurance premiums due to the software being able to improve safety on site. This month, our Employee in the Spotlight is Tatjana Prohazka, Arenko’s data engineer. Tatjana is part of our Technology team; her responsibilities focus on database development and maintenance, and keeping our infrastructure up and running. Tatjana’s favourite Arenko value is being open and inclusive. We put diversity and inclusion high on our priority list, making sure that employees of all backgrounds feel welcome and heard, and Tatjana’s words are a testament to our continued efforts. “The company trusts and values my opinion,” she said. “As a woman in IT, surrounded mostly by men, it is not always the case unfortunately. Varco are excited to announce that we are working with Arenko to deploy their Nimbus Performance asset management software across our 400MWh battery portfolio. This partnership will enable us to optimize the performance of 160MW of battery storage across three sites, which include some of the UK’s largest and longest duration battery assets. Varco's first project went live in August, with two more to follow soon. Working with Arenko to manage these digital assets is another step towards our shared goal of building a sustainable, zero-carbon grid ⚡
