We were delighted to host racing’s educational charity, Racing to School, who were hosting their Rider’s Programme at #Ascot. As part of their day, students from Berkshire College of Agriculture got to learn more about the many possible career opportunities our sport has to offer – here they are learning about the life of a groom/racehorse and their preparation for a race day. #RacingToSchool

Our annual staff volunteers’ week saw a total of 104 team members head out into our community to volunteer at local charities that the #Ascot Supports programme has helped. Collectively the team donated 582 volunteer hours, equating to 83 working days. Watch our teams in action and hear from some of our amazing beneficiary charities.

#Ascot was delighted to host the The Racing Foundation and Women In Racing for their conference yesterday. As leaders in the thoroughbred and racing industry, they addressed important topics such as #sustainability and future leadership. It was a thought-provoking and inspiring event.
What a great day at this year’s The Racing Foundation Conference at Ascot Racecourse. Hosted by Rishi R Persad an amazing line up of keynote speakers including Bob Langert, Nevin Truesdale, Roly Owers, Michael Bishop and Dominic Matcham led to thought provoking discussions during the workshop session. The all-female Youth Panel, featuring Aamilah Aswat, Uwitonze Wenham-Beckford, Mimi O'Grady and Samantha Martin was inspiring, while the Leadership Panel (Paul Struthers, Louise Norman, Paul Johnson, Julie Harrington, barry johnson, George McGrath, David Armstrong, Claire Sheppard (one of our WiR Mentors) and David Catlow) responded to questions from delegates on issues raised throughout the day. While the theme for the day was “The Social Licence Challenge”, a key takeaway was the desire, and need, for greater collaboration between bodies within the racing industry, as well as with other similarly aligned groups from the outside. Congratulations to Tansy Challis and her team - Rhi Lee-Jones, Stan Wong and Antonia B. for organising another great event. The Racing Home team, including Dena Merson, Dana Mellor LLB, MAC and Naomi Mellor, who have been generously supported by the Racing Foundation, were also in attendance and most excitingly of all the WiR team were able to show off some new merch!

#Ascot Racecourse is delighted to announce that CopyBet has become the Race Weekend Title Sponsor of this year’s two-day November meeting on 22nd and 23rd November, which will become the CopyBet November Racing Weekend. The sponsorship is CopyBet’s first such foray into racing and will see the innovative betting brand sponsor three races on each day. On the Saturday, in addition to the two handicap hurdles, CopyBet will now sponsor the Grade 2 CopyBet 1965 Chase, won by top-class chasers such as Pic D’Orhy, Cyrname, Vautour and Al Ferof in recent years.
