Asgard Controlled Environments are proud to announce the complete company rollout of a comprehensive Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) software, as part of our 2024 strategy. SustainIQ empowers us to measure, monitor, and report on our social, economic, and environmental performance across all operations, as part of our mission to integrate sustainability into everything we do.   “The scope and scale of ESG Reporting has grown massively. Not only is it critical from a regulatory perspective, but it has become a key part of our commercial success. We needed a system that would enable us to move away from spreadsheets, and that could provide us with a single real-time view of our activities and performance.” It provides a single platform to report on various areas of ESG including Waste Management, Social Value, GHG Emissions, Biodiversity, and more. This will be a crucial tool in enhancing our ESG performance as we work towards achieving our long-term sustainability targets.   We were delighted to launch Sustain IQ across our recent project at the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Dublin. Asgard Controlled Environments were appointed to undertake the complete turnkey design and construction of a new National Isolation Unit, the first of its kind to be constructed in Ireland. A key focus for Asgard Controlled Environments was to achieve ISO14001 certification on this project. A system was required that could demonstrate our continued commitment to social value, environmental management, and our net zero journey to existing and prospective partners and clients.   “SustainIQ has helped us to reduce the time taken to achieve ISO 14001 certification on this project by around 50% and has been instrumental in helping us to achieve ISO 14001 certification for this project. SustainIQ has provided us with the ability to track and demonstrate our ESG initiatives and commitments in a consistent and timely format by providing real-time data flows”.

Thank you to the City of Trees for organising a tree planting event on 22nd October at Thatch Leach Lane Park. We at Asgard Controlled Environments were able to plant 102 trees and maintain another 138! The whips we planted together were a mix of native broadleaf species, and they’ll spend the first few years establishing their roots before growing taller and forming a canopy. This event has been a significant step toward our sustainability goals, and together we’re building a City of Trees! 🌳 A huge thank you to Ali Shah, Jamie Wright George Wright, and Zeinab Hussain for their support. And an extra special thank you to Ali Shah’s children for diving right in and getting their hands dirty! 🌱💚 Each tree planted will help clean the air, create habitats for wildlife, and fight climate change for years to come. 🌿🌍 We’re not just planting trees, we’re planting hope for a greener, healthier future. On Monday 14th October Asgard Controlled Environments Managing Director Jamie Lacking and Senior Project Manager James Holt had the honour of attending the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin to celebrate a significant milestone in our ongoing High Level National Isolation Unit project. The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital welcomed Ireland’s minister for public expenditure, Paschal Donohoe, for a tour of the new National Isolation Unit. The facility will be used to handle highly infectious infections with high consequence to prevent the transmission to the public, patients and staff who care for them. This will be the first of its kind to be built in Ireland, and Asgard Controlled Environments have been responsible for the turnkey design and build of the facility. This visit marks a pivotal moment as we continue moving forward with dedication through to the delivery of this world-class healthcare facility.
