We're very proud to be ranked 21st in the prestigious Building Magazine Top 150 Consultants list for 2024. The survey, which provides a unique insight into consultancy firms across the UK, also ranks the top engineering, architectural, project management, quantity surveyors and surveyors. We're ranked 19th for engineering consultancy and 20th for architectural. We’ve had an incredible five projects shortlisted for this year’s IStructE Scotland Regional Group Scottish Structural Awards! 🏆 Allander Leisure & Adult Resource Centre, Best Project in Leisure 🏆 Prestwick North Education Campus, Best Project in Education & Research 🏆 Woodland View School, Best Project in Education & Research 🏆 Maybole Community Campus, Best Project in Education & Research 🏆 Paisley Learning & Cultural Hub, Best Historical (pre-1960) Building Refurbishment All of these projects demonstrate the great work our structural engineering team are doing on projects across the public sector in the Scottish region and we’re proud to see each of them shortlisted. The Elizabeth Line, including Whitechapel Station which we delivered from RIBA Stage 3 to completion, has been awarded the prestigious RIBA Stirling Prize for 2024 🏆 The Stirling Prize recognises the best new architecture in the UK, showcasing the most ingenious and diverse design in the country. The judges praised how the design of the Elizabeth Line enhances the experience of those travelling on it, with chair, RIBA president Muyiwa Oki, saying: "This is architecture of the digital age – a vast scheme that utilises cutting-edge technology to create distinctive spatial characteristics and experiences. It rewrites the rules of accessible public transport, and sets a bold new standard for civic infrastructure, opening up the network – and by extension, London – to everyone." A very proud moment to see this historic project get the recognition it deserves. Today is World Mental Health Day and we'd like to take a moment to acknowledge that looking after each other's mental health is an important element within any workplace. We spoke to Kevin Fitzpatrick from our Architecture team, who is also one of our Mental Health First Aiders, about his own journey with mental health, how the Mental Health First Aiders scheme can help colleagues who are struggling, and how we can all make a difference in the workplace.
